I would contact the manufacturer at the number or address listed in the owner's manual.

If you don't have your manual, I'd contact the dealer from whom you purchased it to get the manufacturer's contact information.

I have a cookworks microwave oven. When I switch it on, the glass turntable doesn't rotate.

The turntable motor may be defective, or it is not getting power, or the coupling between the turntable and the motor is broken.

COOKWORKS MODEL EM717CKL THE TURNTABLE WILL NOT TURN WHEN SWITCHED ON

The Turn Table motor will need to be replaced, this appears to be a common problem in the microwave ovens. I recommend a suitable technician because there are dangerous high voltage present.

Cookworks microwave oven with grill and convection model cmx60 - I need new glass turntable unable to sourced bought from Argus about three years ago please help.

Microwave turntables are in several sizes

Here are a couple of sources for them. What you have to take note of is the wheel tray also. You may get the right size turntable and not fit the wheel tray. Manufacturer is not as important as the size and tray fitting.

This one seems a bit small at 10 inches but as your microwave is only 800 Watts it may just be the correct one :

I have a cookworks signature microwave, it looks like it is working but everything just stays cold. Is this an easy fixed problem, or am I doing something wrong? Please help!

Hi,
The problem you describe is most likely the magnetron which has stopped working. This is the device which generates the mocrowaves and it's most likely better to get a new microwave oven.

Best wishes,
Graemevm

My above the range Maytag Microwave oven plate does not rotate. Bought a new rotator wheel as the old one was broken, and the central spindle will rotate, but not with the plate on it. What can I do?

The spindle (called a turntable shaft) sits atop a small motor shaft from the turntable motor. You either have a weak turntable motor, stripped shaft (which allows the motor shaft to free spin when it has any weight on it), or both.

The turntable motor is located under the bottom panel of the microwave oven. You do not have to uninstall the oven for this repair.

First, unplug the unit, remove the glass carousel tray, and pull straight up on the turntable shaft to remove it. Next, locate and remove the series of screws along the bottom panel underneath the oven. The bottom panel will open exposing the drive motor. The motor comes out by disconnecting the connector plug and a couple of mounting screws.

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, you can view these parts at searspartsdirect.com. Locate items 11 (turntable motor) and 14 (shaft) under the "Cavity" heading. Other sites you may try are pcappliancerepair.com, appliancepartspros.com or repairclinic.com to see if you can find these parts any cheaper.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Doesn't heat anything

HI, there is only one in-line fuse link that is designated for the power board. this is concerning the Magnetron. this heating device has failed. replacing the Magnetron will fix this issue.

I have recently bought a Kenwood Microwave model KEN GJ/SS25. I notice that the turntable does not revolve. Should it? Regards John Hamon jhamon@hotmail.co.uk

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

For parts and service, you should contact Kenwood at the number in the owner's manual.
