Is this a new setup? if not, then goto start-->run   type cmd and hit enter
at the command prompt, type ipconfig
if your ip address is NOT 192.168.2.x then do the following:

you have to set your LAN on your computer as a 192.168.2.x address first
after you set it to a .2.x then you can access the router
if you do not know how to manually set the ip address here is how:
right click network place or network neighborhood
right click on local area network
double click tcp/ip protocol and change to a static IP

Try running ipconfig /release * and then ipconfig /renew

Is there anything I can try for my Belkin router. It isn't working and the wireless light will not stay lit. I have unplug it and left it unplug overnight but still doesn't work.

Have you gone into network connection in the menus and see if your wireless in enabled and not disabled. If I am not mistaking, you need to connect the Ethernet cable to your laptop (leaving you wireless router connected) and go to the Belkin web site to reset your wireless router.

You don't want to set a static IP address in your wireless router. You'll be connected to the network alright, but the IP address won't be recognized by the primary router. Thus, you'll see you're connected with only local access.

First and foremost, ensure that your Internet connection is valid. Plug the ethernet cable from the wall directly into your computer and test the connection. If you can't get it to work, then the problem is not on your end. Contact the agency in charge of the external router (e.g. apartment maintenance).

If your connection is fine hard wired, you may have bad data or a faulty configuration in your wireless router. I suggest doing a complete hard reset (there should be some instructions with your router on how to do it--some have a small flush mounted button that you have to press for a few seconds). Set up your wireless router as if for the first time. This should take care of your problems.

Wish to change my password on the Belkin G Plus Nimo router and cannot remember where to go to get in and do it

1. Access the router's setup page by going to 192.168.2.1.
2. By default, there is no username and no password. Otherwise if you have created a password to access the router's page already then use that password.
3. If you want to change the administrative password of the router, go to "System Settings".
4. If you want to change the wireless security for your wireless connection, then go to wireless settings tab of the router.

Generally access the router control panel panel putting router ip number on internet explorer bar. You will be asked for passwords. Check IP number and password for your model on manual.
On panel go to wireless then security, you find menus at left and top bar of the router control page in internet explorer.
Set encryption and input the password.
Do save all command (button at bottom of page).
set wep password also on wireless networked computers.

Hi there!

Theoretically, it should work with each other. I didn't find any documentation at Belkin's site that states the N1 USB adapter being not compatible with 3rd party devices like your Netgear router.

From what I know is N-Draft's wireless technology should be backwards compatible with both wireless-B and wireless-G devices.

1. Do you have other working wireless devices at your network during that time that you have the N1 USB adapter?
2. Were you able to connect to your wireless network? If Yes, what was your IP address at the wireless computer incase you had the chance to check it?

Maybe you can try to inquire with Belkin about what you've encountered with their device for clarification.

Hope this helps!
