Hello sir
if you have enough technical experience about opening the laptop then you can solve this problem yourself
the problem is physical in this case means your laptop's mouse lkey may got damaged or there is a dust in it

open your laptop's back case and remove all parts oneby one you have to reach to mouse
then cleane up that switch with any switch cleaning liquid available
if you dont have one then yo can use pure petrol (take care that its not mixed up with oil)
but if you are not a technical person then avoide to do this and kindly contact any repairer
thanks

Let's use an example Debbie

-> don't know how to copy and paste

Put your mouse cursor on the d in don't.
Press the left mouse button, and hold it down.

Now move the mouse cursor across the entire sentence, moving to the right.
Stop at the letter e in paste.

Let go of the mouse button.

The sentence will now be highlighted in Blue.
Now press, and hold the CTRL key, and tap once on the c key.

[Small case letter -> c ]

Put your mouse cursor, where you want to paste what you have copied.

In your browser address bar, or whatever.

(Address Bar: The box at top that has the URL in it.
Starts off with www, or http:// )

Now press the CTRL key down again, and this time tap once on the -> v key.

c key is the Copy key, v key is the Paste key.

My micro innovations PS/2 mouse isn't working

make sure the mouse lead is seated properly and the socket is clean you might have to open up your computer to check the back of the mouse socket for dust and connection status
or you could go into safe mode
restart your computer repeatedly tapping the F8 key to enter safe mode where the only things working will be your mouse and key board allowing you to attempt a repair on your computer
or
resater your computer during the boot up process you will see a certain key to enter set up press and hold that key to enter BIOS scroll to failsafe or optimised defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
hope this helps

Hi, i have an eee laptop!! and some of the keyboards are not working!!! is there any key that can subtitute the fn key?

Hi wincel03_dar ,

I see that you are having issue booting into your Windows, I can help you with your concern. You mentioned that you get a black screen with a blinking cursor on the upper left, this means that either your Hard drive is not detected by the motherboard or Windows is not found, see steps below.
  • Turn your Laptop ON then keep on tapping F8, you should see a screen windows advance options menu, hight light and select Last Known Boot Configuration then press Enter
  • The Laptop will restart, see if it will boot into Windosws

  • From shut down turn your Laptop on again then keep on tapping F12 this will give you a Boot Menu Screen.
  • Once you have the boot menu screen Select ATA HDD it should be the first on the list if it is not located then the Hard drive isn't really detected.
  • After selecting the ATA HDD press Enter this should boot into the Hard drive, if still it does not boot and it gives you the same black screen with a blinking cursor then you can try reseating your Hard drive from the system.
  • Reseating meaning Remove it then wait a couple of seconds then put it back in properly then try turning the machine on again.
If still he issue is the same and you get a Blinking Cursor then it can be two thing either you Hard drive has gone bad or your motherboard could not detect your Hard drive.
To find out you can try and use your Hard drive on a different Laptop if the data from your Hard drive works on a different Laptop then your Hard drive is OK and that the problem is your Motherboard not be able to detect your Hard drive and need replacing.
I ope that this will be able to help you with your concern,
Thank you choosing Fixya.

My touchpad will not respond when I tap it anymore. I have to use the left button. I used to be able to tap or double tap the touchpad and it would act like the left mouse button. All of a sudden it...

On the bottom bar by the clock, if your computer is newer there should be a small icon that controls your mouse. Simply right click on it and check the box "tap to click" or similar. Hope this helps!
Please rate me if i am helpful.
Thank you.

Touchpad has no tap, left key not working.

Hi there,
I had this issue and resolved it by doing the following:
-Open the start menu by using the windows button
-Use the arrow keys to highlight run and press enter
-Type 'control panel' and press enter, find the mouse properties and enter
-From the buttons tab in mouse properties, go to double click speed and change to slow and confirm the changes
-At this point it probably still wont work, so do the above again but change the double click settings to fast and confirm.
-Restart your PC and this should resolve the matter. you can alter the double click speed again if you wish :)

Hope this helps,
tbo

Laptop Cursor problems when using MSword and Outlook Express

I've had this problem before. One of the "shift" keys on your keyboard may be stuck. Try unsticking the key by tapping on it or firmly pressing it. Also, the mouse key may be sticking as well. Try a different mouse.

Jumping cursor

This is a really common problem thats not actually a problem.
Go to trackpad settings and make sure tap to click is off.
Most laptops allow you to tap the track pad to act as a mouse button, try it go to an icon tap the trackpad youll see that the icon highlights as if you are actually left clicking.
When your typing the trackpad senses your arm or wrist occasionaly and thinks your tapping the mouse, thus moving the cursor.
So go into trackpad settings and turn off tap to click.

"sticky" mouse on compaq laptop

Unless your left mouse button has been severely damaged, it is unlikely that a loose button is the cause of your problem. More likely, it is your touchpad. Chances are your touchpad is set to click when tapped. Oversensitive touchpads can click randomly when you're dragging your finger across the touchpad.

To test this, position your cursor over a link (or other button) but don't press the left mouse button. Instead, lightly tap the touchpad itself. If the link or button is clicked, go to your Control Panel and adjust the Mouse options so your touchpad no longer clicks when tapped. It's usually a setting titled "tap to click" or something along those lines.
