Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

First boot of Win 7. New PC build

Hi.

First of all when you are in the BIOS and have set the DVD/CD drive as the first boot device make sure you save the settings before you restart the computer as it will not remember the changes if you don't.

Make sure that the lens on the CD/DVD drive is clean and also make sure the Windows 7 install disk is clean and free of any finger prints.

make sure that you keep tapping a key when the drive spins up as sometimes people miss the "Press any key to boot from CD/DVD" message.

If you still can't get the disk to boot then try the install disk in a working PC and see if that reads the disk. If it does then the optical drive could be faulty or does not support DVD format.

Regards.

You can reset laptop login password with Smartkey Windows Password Recovery, just do as the following steps,

Step1: Quickly download, install and run this tool on an accessible computer.
Step2: Insert an empty and writable CD/DVD to the computer and start to burn it into a computer password reset disk with Windows Password Recovery.
Step3: Insert the burned password reset disk to the target/locked computer, and set this PC boot from CD/DVD.
Step4: Reset forgotten laptop password with the burned password reset disk in less than 1 minute.
Step5: After computer password resetting procedures finish, reboot your PC, and then you finally reset laptop login password and regain access to your PC.

My notebook doesn't open the dvd

It sounds has if your DVD rom is on it's way out.

I get computers with DVD drives weekly with the same issue and replacing the drive always fixes this type of issue.

Rebooting the laptop/PC and then it works for first time but not the second time usually points to this and very common

It's something to do with the drive slowing and laser light

4. Choose ODD from the list then press enter

How do i reboot my computer and take off all the viruses

First of all to reboot the PC you need to have the windows cd or dvd.
After that take necessary backup of important data.Insert the windows CD/DVD into the drive and restart the system.

Note that your BIOS is properly configured, keep first boot device as CD/DVD to boot from CD/DVD.Press F 10 and save.Your system will automatically restart and continue to boot from CD/DVD

As soon as the message appears then "Press any key to boot from CD" then press enter,
this will reboot your system.

Thanks.
Have great day.

My laptop keeps saying ntdlr is missing and wont start up what should i do

Check to see if you have inserted any DVD/CDs in the CD/DVD drive or any USB/External storage medium connected to the PC when it is booting. If yes, then try removing them and reboot

If no, then try using the Boot File Repair option on Win7/Win Vista installation DVD.

My system cannot find the dvd/cd-rm

check in my computer if theres a cd/dvd near with drive C: or D: etc...
if not there, you reboot the laptop and press F2 to bios setup and check the cd/dvd setting if detect,if not, hardware problem...if it is detecting and not showing in windows, theres a virus in the regestry,i think so..try to scan..if not come...format..finish
