My 2006 VW Jetta is making loud, screaming/screeching, sound from the passenger side-front, behind the the dash/glove box, between the engine and wheel.

I would like to think it is the electric fan behind the radiator that is screeching. When you stop the car, everything should stop, but that fan. That fan is supposed to cool the radiator, even after the engine is off and the car stops. It would not be so bad, because it does not run as much, in cold weather, but in hot weather, it should start sooner and run longer.
I needs to be replaced.
Be blessed.

MAKES A LOUD NOISE

disassemble clean and assemble paying attention to condition

noise from bearings going out/screeching ???
noise from unbalanced load/ lots of vibration??
noise from scraping/grinding/metal on plastic ??
noise from scraping/grinding/plastic on plastic ??
there any burning smell also ??
is any part getting warm ( turn upside down to check ) ( hold or place on thick layer of kitchen towels

be aware if it is old ~ 20 yrs give or take 20 yrs getting a new juicer will be less hassle than trying to repair

Question: Our Kenmore elite microwave model 66561689101 intermitting on and off. Most of the time it turns off just after it starts and then makes a weird screech sound and then starts back up and is good...

Only thing mechanical on nuker is the cooling fan assembly and /or the turntable platter. Something not turning properly is responsible for screeching noise. And if something is not turning properly there could be a sensor to detect this and shut unit down.

Fridge making loud screeching sounds

Generally, in my experience, the loud screeching is caused by one of the fan motors or fan blades. There is a fan inside the cabinet (possiblle two, one on the freezer and one on the refrigerator side). Also, there is a fan underneath the unit near the compressor (probably in the back).

If the screeching is coming from underneath then pull the unit out from the wall and remove the cardboard cover at the bottom back. Now turn the unit on and check for where the screeching is coming from.

If it is the fan blade (hitting something) or the motor, you can remove these and replace them easily. UNPLUG THE REFRIGERATOR BEFORE TOUCHING ANYTHING UNDERNEATH THE BACK OF THE REFRIGERATOR.)

Good Luck!

My Bathroom Extractor Fan does not work properly and for some reason the bathroom smells of cigarette smoke when the upstairs neighbours are at home!! Our landlord say's this is not possible!!!

Yes, very possible!. The bathroom fan is connected together, and the upstairs one is down-drafting to you. Have the exhaust checked for blockage, or buy a fan that has a built-in damper that closes the exit when not in use.

My extractor fan is leaking a lot of water, it is nothing to do with the weather as it happens when it is not raining. The extractor fan was working but now has stopped

sounds like
the extractor is mounted in a cold space, and the moist air is condensing on the cold fan as it exits,
the fan housing may need better insulation, and the flap valve in the exhaust pipe needs to be checked to ensure it is closing, and keeping cold air out
it is possible that condensate in the fan has fried the motor

something to check

make sure you are running you thread around the bobbin to get it started start slow when winding, is there something under your sewing foot(on the floor) when you are sewing if it's slowing down sounds like something may be holding it back, only other thing that may cause something would be internally if not the feed dogs. let me know hope this helps amy
