How do I convert and transfer music from my computer to my dmg ds140 mp3

Did you transfer MP3 files, i.e files with a .mp3 extension after the name, e.g. StarSpangledBanner.mp3 ? From the error messages you are getting, it looks to me that the files you transferred are not MP3 files. For example, when you press Play, one or more files are highlighted and the player tries to play the first (or the only one) highlighted, but it can't because it is in a format that is not supported, i.e. not MP3. When you click Music, the player starts looking for all the MP3 files that you have on the player or on an external memory card. It cannot find any, hence the 'empty disv/card' error message.

Songs I have downloaded to my sansa e250 mp3 player won't play

This is a simple formatting problem, To fix itSOLUTION 1:well there isnt really a way, other than instead of using windows media player directly, you can copy it out of the disc folder (in my computer) and into your my music folder and then import it from your my music folderSOLUTION 2:You can download itunes for free, upload discs to your itunes and then make a new disc (make sure it is in mp3 format<you will see what i mean>) and the rip the disc like you normally do Hope i helped If this doesnt work the email me at dirtyfairy@live.com.aucheers

It keeps saying file error

Check the format of the music you are playing and if you have music that requires the license it will load the music but not play. It will show up as a file error.

Mp-c841(256mb) keeps giving a error--DISC ERROR...what does that mean...and the music won't come on because of the error...i changed the battery...but still get DISC ERROR

Make sure the hold switch is not engaged first - see p.15 of your manual for location.

Also, you may get that msg if you tried to load a DRM-protected file or an iTunes song (anything other than mp3 format is generally going to give you a problem with this player).

Mp4 says disc error

1. There is a reset button at the back of the player. Press it with a paper clip.

If that doesn't fix the problem:

2. Update the firmware by downloading it from the Samsung website. You will be able to locate the software by clicking on the Support link.

If the updated firmware doesn't solve the problem then the problem is hardware.

You won't be able to fix it if it is a hardware fault so don't even try to open the unit. You will need to return it and have it fixed under warranty.

"Synch problem: Synchronise to continue your music subscription"

I would suggest formatting the unit and trying again, but this time do not sync it with media player. Plug it into your USB and got "My Computer", the player will show up as a removable disc usually drive f:, right click on the drive and hit format, quick format shoudl work. Once formated double click the removable disc drive, and then click and drag or copy and paste your music into this drive and see what happens. That player should support WMA files, but just to let you know, if you convert those files to MP3 it will take about half the space and therefot you can store more music at once.
