Display Hello, I AM LOKING FOR A LCD DISPLAY for my Cassiopeia Pocket pc Model A 10 MY story: Some one gave it to me in a box new then if fell off my desk and the display glass Cracked iacross the width n two places. It works, but since it is a touch screen, with the glass cracked the stylus features do not work on the screen. Casio does not have the part as this unit is new in the box but an old model I am hoping I can find a display so I can fix it. or else I have to pitch it. Display Specs are: 480 x 240 Dots/0.24 dot pitch FSTN LCD 4 gray scale monochrome Viewing 118 mm X 61 mm Has back light Casio part numbers Possible LCD assembly 33356529 or touch panel assembly 64183640 I am not sure which one. I would also be interested in getting a broken A 10 one with a good display and canaballizing the display. You help is greatly appreciated. IF you can recommend people to contact who could help I.E. (electonic repair shop that may have either part or old model A!) that would be great also. Thanking you in advane for all you help. Sandro

SOURCE: Replaced my Casio E115 screen - now touchscreen doesn't work!

There are 2 things you have to check for. The touch screen was changed in the middle of production run. The flexible connector & the corresponding socket on the main board were inverted. In other words the exposed track side was moved from upper to lower side. The older type of touch scrteen is no longer available. Casio made the socket available to their service centre to change in on the main board to suit the newer type of touch screen. If this is the case you will have to get the newer type touch screen to suit the E-115. The second aspect is that there are 4 self adhesive spacer tapes (approximately 3 mm x 80 mm x 0.5mm thick on the long side & 3 mm x 60 mm x .5 mm on ythe short side) on the periphery of the LCD. This is to keep the touch screen from touching the LCD. This is to prevent Newton's rings as also to prevent malfunction of the touch screen. These are an absolute must. Other than that the touch screens are absolutely the same. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Broken screen

Replacement of the digitizer, if the lcd is still intact. If that is damaged as well...sell it for parts, or get parts from another. The EM500 and E125 share the same lcd/digitizer.

My i-mate mobile his display not working, i want to new display set my mobile. so plz, help me,

If the display is not working you may check your Mobile LCD screen is broken or cracked and on the outside is completely intact but the inside looks like a smashed pain glass or if you can`t see anything on the screen try visiting mobile repair center. You may try this link for them to check your mobile.

Hi, I have a Casio Cassiopeia EG-800STD Pocket

Yikes, this is a tough one, as i havnt used one of those in well over 10 years.. i do remember the battery life was around 5-8 hours max.. getting a new battery for one may be quite difficult. you may check around ebay however be warned that this is over 10 year old tech and you may be just purchasing a battery that is over 10 years old with no knowledge of the quality of the battery. My personal "opinion" is to get as much of your information out of it while the device still works, and replace it with a modern device such as a small android tablet or blackberry.

Fixed white block on the top title bar

This is clearly a hardware fault in the actual lcd display or the connector to the mainboard. the stylus function are controlled by the touchpad, it is mounted separated from the actual lcd display (on top of it) and connected with another set of wires to the mainboard. Most probably your problem can't be solved. However, try to take it to a service to have it checked, especially the connectors between the lcd and mainboard.

Casiopeia E115 has dark section of screen?

This has been apbroblem with Casio E-100 to E-115. The LCD display is connected to the main PCB via a flexible circuit which also carries the display driver ICs. This circuit presses against some components on the PCB near the power button. Over a period of time with generated heat this circuit gets deformed & shifts the phase for the upper 1/3 of the display. So you will notice if you reset the device this very portion is brightly lit in stead of being completely black like the rest of the display. There is not much you can do except change the Display unit consisiting of the LCD, Digitizer & the backlighting fluorescent lamp. It is not a very difficult job if you are not 10 thumb variety. You could try heating this flex with hot air gun & flattening it again. However you might be taking a big chance withthe display. You could try Pacific parts / casiosalesandservice for replacement. There were two version used in your device. So compatibility could be an issue. Contact mre directly if you need further assistance. Hope this helps ???

Wireless connections to Desktop

If you have a Windows 2000 or XP machine you use the Remote Desktop feature to display the desktop on the P/PC. I think you need to download this from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/han...alserver/ts.asp The link is hidden in "licence requirments." I use this feature over my network on my desktops. Tough I'm looking for a P/PC to use myself, instead of getting a new laptop. Don't think about playing games or videos, though :)

Connecting to a Linux machine

Have you ever heard of wine? You can install wine for free and see if the program that allows you to interface the device to a PC will work. There also could be some linux programs that will allow you to connect your pocket PC to your PC.
