Check These...
Is the monitor plugged into a good wall outlet?
Is the video cable from the Monitor plugged into the video card on the computer?
Turn on the switch on the monitor to turn it on.
Turn on the computer. Does the computer make any noise or the lights light up like it is running?
IF YES CONTINUE! The computer has a problem, not the monitor!

Is the monitor working? If not then try another monitor. If that doesn't work then you most likely have a video card problem.

How do I get out of no input signal

Hello
The video signal is not getting into your display.
Check the connections on both sides of your cable (display side and display card side). If that didn't help, switch off your PC, make sure youre display card is in its correct place (try taking it out and putting it back again). Switch on your PC and check again. If the problem continues, try replacing your display card.

Turns on but no display

Many times it is the physical memory in your computer. You should get 3 beeps but this is not always the case. Sometimes you will get a 'No Signal' on your monitor. If your computer is turning on and you can see the HD light has activity I would check the memory.

Unplug the computer. Then open your computer (or laptop) and reseat the memory in the slot by popping it out. Do this a couple times and see if that does the trick.

Hp d530 display out

I would unplug the video cable from the computer to the monitor. turn the monitor on and see if you get a message on the display stating video loss or something like that. this will determine if the problem is with the display or the video card in the computer. If you get the video loss message, then the display is good and the problem is with the video card / VGA port on the motherboard or the computer is not fully booting up.

Dell backlight indicators

A computer monitor has a front-mounted LED that displays its current status and flashes in the event of an error. When an error occurs, the flashing may be accompanied by an error message on the screen. If the screen does not display an error message, the problem most likely falls into one of four common categories.

Unsupported Display Mode A video card has the ability to send output to the monitor at many display resolutions and refresh rates. However, no single monitor is capable of supporting every possible display mode. When the video card sends an unsupported display mode to the monitor, the monitor shuts off to prevent damage and blinks, or displays an error message. Standby Mode b> When a monitor detects no video signal from the computer, it assumes that you have turned the computer off and enters standby mode to reduce power consumption. Dell and HP monitors display an amber light when in standby mode. The status light on an Apple monitor blinks slowly. Incorrect Power Supply Some monitors such as certain Apple Cinema and Studio displays use external power adapters. Because different power adapters may have similar connectors, these monitors are designed to detect when an incorrect power supply is connected and blink the status LED rather than attempting to turn on. In the case of an Apple display, the LED blinks in an alternating short and long pattern. b> Backlight Failure b> A flat panel LCD display has an LED or fluorescent backlight that illuminates the pixels and makes it possible to see the contents of the screen. If the backlight fails and requires replacement, the monitor is unable to display any information. In some cases, you may be able to resolve this issue by turning the monitor and computer off, disconnecting and reseating all cables. If the monitor still has a backlight issue, it requires professional service.

I m unable to open my bios setup utility, I hav IBM A51 8122 KQP desktop.

To start the Setup Utility program, do the following:

1. If your computer is already on when you start this procedure, shut down the operating system and turn off the computer.

2. Press and hold the F1 key then turn on the computer. When you hear multiple beeps, release the F1 key.

Notes:

a. If you have a USB keyboard installed on your computer and the Setup Utility does not display using this method, turn on the computer, then immediately press and release the F1 key repeatedly until the Setup Utility displays.

b. If a user password or an administrator password has been set, the Setup Utility program menu is not displayed until you type your password.

I hope this helps.

Computer turns on ! No display ! Did system restore and No Display

first thing how did you do a system restore without display? second thing unplug your display from the power and your computer then plug it back in making sure that the plugs are all the way in. then check that the monitor is switched on it should says something like no signal found, now turn on your computer, if you still dont get any display try to test the monitor on another computer or laptop with an external display socket. if the monitor works on another computer then you need to look at video card. if it is an onboard video card then you are probably out of luck and will have to buy a pci or pci express(pcie) card for it. i know that SR2013WM comes with integrated graphics so if thats what your using then just buy a graphics card and you will be up and running again. if you play games then get one with at least 512mb and also one that has a fan i have found that the ones without fans can heat up and slow everything down. ok i hope that helps let me know how you go.

Tower turns on but nothing appears on monitor

You need to follow the easy steps and get rid of it

1. Make sure your display (moniter, CRT, LCD, screen, whatever you prefer to call it) is plugged into a wall outlet or power strip and powered on. Also ensure that it is securely plugged into the back or bottom of your display. Many displays do not have removable power cords, making them more prone to shorts and other damage. Check your cable to make sure it isn't damaged.
2. Make sure the power strip or wall outlet that your display is plugged into are functioning by plugging another electrical device, such as a lamp, into it and switching it on.
3. Check the connection between your computer and your display. Make sure that it is completely plugged into both as well as fastened with the attached screws.
5. To double-check any possible cable problems, if at all possible, swap out the screen's power cord and the cable connecting your computer to your display.
6. Swapping out your display is also a good way of narrowing down the problem. If you get the same result with a different display, then you can be near positive the problem is something in your computer. If switching displays fixes it, then the culprit is a faulty display.
7. Try turning your display on and off. Does the power indicator light change? Green means On, amber means Standby, and no light means no power. If your display starts out green when it is turned on, then goes to amber, that usually means that it is not receiving any signal from your computer and therefore assumes it is not needed. The problem is most likely not with the monitor but in the computer.

Lcd monitor won't turn on

Hi,

the fact that there is no picture it doesn't mean that the lcd monitor wouldn't turn on or would be faulty.

It means that the monitor is not getting picture from the computer, the cord could be loose or the computer has a problem and its unable to start up or send signal.

you can try the monitor on another computer that works, to find out if the display works fine.

if the display works fine then the problem is the computer not turning on or starting up, if there is a fault or error you should hear beeps, the lack of beeps may also be a sign of a fault or a error.

What you can do is, unplug the computer for 10 minutes and try turning it on again, reconnect the display cable and try again.

Do you have a screwdriver and is the computer covered with warranty or not? if the computer is on warranty better not to get inside, just contact your dealer and get it serviced.

HP desktop monitor problem

hi try this ,,,
  1. Ensure the video cable is connected (and connected to the correct video port).
  2. Turn off the monitor using the monitor's power button and then restart the monitor.
  3. Cycle the power on the monitor as follows:
  4. Turn off the monitor. The power light on the monitor should be off. Leave the computer turned on.
  5. Unplug the power cord.
  6. Wait 5 seconds.
  7. Plug in the power cord.
  8. Press the power button on the monitor to turn on the monitor. One of two things happens:
    1. The image from the computer displays on the monitor and you can use the computer again. This indicates that the monitor was unable to detect that the computer had awakened from suspend mode. Turn the monitor off when it is not being used or disable suspend mode. For some computers, updating the BIOS corrects these types of suspend problems.
    2. The power light on the monitor comes on but the screen displays one of the messages again. The monitor is not receiving a video signal from the computer that it can detect and use. Continue using these steps to adjust the Windows display resolution to the Monitor's native (default) resolution
    3. Connect the monitor to another computer that you know is working to determine if the monitor should be serviced or replaced:
      • If the monitor displays an image from another computer, you know that the monitor works. Troubleshoot the video connection and graphics adapter on the computer.
      • If the monitor remain blank when connected to another computer, the monitor signal processing hardware may be bad. The monitor should be repaired or replaced.
hope it will work for u .. little_angel
