PCI WIFI card not working on EP-8KMM3I

I can't get any wifi card to switch on when installing it on my EP-8KMM3I motherboard. The rest of the board is working fine. I've dowloaded and installed all drivers I could lay hand on, except BIOS upgrade. The EDIMAX EW-7128g card is being polled (orange light flickers from time to time) but the green light does'nt come on. I've tested the card on another computer and works like a dream

Might be that power supply is not proving all voltage rails required by PCI card?. Try another PCI slot. Have you installed same drivers as you used for the other computer and was it same OS? Try changing PCI settings in BIOS menu (e.g. clock slewing, etc.) - Try Safe Defaults rather than Optimal defaults? Save current settings first if poss!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Wireless PCI Adapter WPCI810GP

Hi, In your Device Manager, uninstall all instances of the wifi card, shutdown. Physically remove the PCI wifi cards from the motherboard. Reboot in Safe Mode. Verify that no wifi card is installed in the Device Manager. Power down, reinstall the Wifi Card, reboot, Windows should auto detect and auto install. You may need the original CD installer of the card, if not available, you need to download the drivers before uninstalling the card. As a precaution, use the features of System Restore. Hope this give you an idea. Post back how things are or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.
