My model CRG9800AAB is doing the same thing. We changed out the propane tank and then it started beeping at odd times. It is not the same beep as when the timer goes off. I don't even see my model number on the list of gas ranges.

we experienced the exact same problem with our maytag range (same model # as well). Following the self cleaning mode we received the F1 code and can't reset it.

SOURCE: Maytag MGR5770 Gas Kitchen Range displays OFF and nothing works!

That is normal, whenever you cut power the range goes in Off mode, that is a safety standby mode. The same as you first installed the kitchen.
No faulty thing and no need to take apart anything, do not disassemble the appliance.

The usual procedure to activate back the kitchen range is by downpressing the timer main wheel.

If this does not work, then there must be a different command, check the user instructions , or try playing withthe controls.

WHen turning on the oven to bake it will not ignite a flame. I can broil and cook on top however the gas will not lite when baking. The pilot is on however the gas will not burn unless banging on the part...

This is usually a symptom of a faulty oven safety valve. Over time, it tends to stick internally and banging on it helps unstick it. You can either continue banging on it for faster burner ignition or have it replaced. You'll need the make, model # and sometimes serial # if it's an older model, to replace the part. If you do it yourself, be sure to close the shut off valve behind the stove before you remove it. Douglas

What would cause incomplete combustion on burners and oven?

Look at oven burners while  they are lit. Is the flame coming from all of the holes. If not, see if the piolet or glow coil of ignitor is close enough to that side to make them light. Also make sure holes are not dirty (opened). The flame should be blue with just the tip red . If not adjust the air door to get more air and less gas. Their is also a gas ajustment on the oven gas valve on most. If the flame is jumping out of the hole, too much gas is coming through and you need to adjust the screw to get less gas flow. I hope I understood correctly and this is information that you need.
