HpL7780 wireless freezing up printer

Just bought this printer and was setting up the wireless wizard on it. I recognised the linksys system that I have, then said is was successful in setting up the wireless process then it freezes. the only solution to this that i have found is to plug out the printer power cord then reinsert it. The wireless does not work. It prints if connected via usb and it scans , havent tried the fax as yet. A number of persons online seem to have the same problem, some have solutions but these dont seem to work for me. HELP!!

I have the same problem. But if the printer is close enough to the linksys wireless router, you can workaround it by connect it directly with a network cable.

You will need to disable the wireless to undo the freeze. Follow the instruction on the HP site on how to disable the wireless.

HP printer cannot find access point and I'm not sure what to do.

You must first connect your printer to the pc using usb cable, then run installation wizard that is on the CD that came with the printer.

Wizard will guide you through the setup orcess where you will provider your routers ssid (linksys) to your printer, and your printer will use that ssid to connect to your router.

After the Wizard setup is done, it will tell you to disconnect the usb cable and only then your printer will work on wireless.

Good luck,

Printing wirelessly to a Canon MP600

1) you need it to print from a laptop if you do not want to have to set up another computer, and mobile phone have bluetooth buit in
2) YES
3) set up the printer on another computer, and set it for sharing. Then make sure that you laptop is recognized in the network connections wizard, then on the laptop select add new printer and select the bullett that say a network printer. the rest is pretty easy, select browse for a printer or something, it is the first option, select it, say yes to all dialogue boxes, and let the computer do the rest.

HPL7780 and Linksys WRT54GS V7

Hi,

That usually happens when you are going to connect the printer PRO using the wireless. To avoid that problem, try connecting the Printer using the Manual Setting of the IP.

Solution
NOTE: If the router has an outdated or firmware that was not supplied by the manufacturer, update the router to the latest manufacturer-supplied firmware. Set a Manual IP address on the HP All-in-One
  1. Change the IP settings to Manual from the HP All-in-One.
    1. On the front panel of the HP All-in-One, press Setup .
    2. Press the left arrow button (c01135026.jpg ) or the right arrow button (c01135027.jpg ) to select Network , and then press OK .
    3. Press the left arrow button (c01135026.jpg ) or the right arrow button (c01135027.jpg ) to select Advanced Settings , and then press OK .
    4. Press the left arrow button (c01135026.jpg ) or the right arrow button (c01135027.jpg ) to select IP Settings , and then press OK .
    5. Press the left arrow button (c01135026.jpg ) or the right arrow button (c01135027.jpg ) to select Manual , and then press OK .
  2. Set the IP settings from the Manual IP Settings menu using the following instructions. For this item... Do the following... IP Address Type a manual IP address on the same subnet, but outside of the DHCP range. Choose an IP address with the same first three digits as the assigned IP but a much higher fourth digit (between 1 and 254). For example, if the original IP was 192.168.0.1, assign the static IP to 192.168.0.200. Subnet Mask Do not change the Subnet Mask. Default Gateway Do not change the Default Gateway.
  3. Run the Wireless Setup wizard and try to associate the HP All-in-One to the wireless network.
Workarounds Connect the HP All-in-One via a Wired Network
