Have a 2001 yamaha 1600 roadstar. I replaced the starter relay and when i did, i touched the two leds from the battery and now there is no power when i turn on the key. I checked the fuses and nothing. is there a master fuse that is not in the fuse box?

SOURCE: 1994 Toyota Tercel Starter Problems

sounds to me that you have an igniton problem not a starter problem and or if you have or had an alarm system could be cause if u do give me feedback and i will explain but seems that your starter is fine from what u say but if you think in terms of the elemts to start a vehicle batery gives pwoer to ignition which sends to starter which gives spark etc i would check you ignition system something is causeing a short and not alowing starter to function

SOURCE: no power to starter 2004 chevy tahoe

Hi
It could be your neutral safety switch. It could be the starter relay which is located in the fuse panel box. It could be the smaller wire going to the starter could be loose or corroded.

SOURCE: turn on key no electrial,

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

There is a master fuse. It is 30 amps and is located at the side of the starter motor relay. To determine the location of this relay, follow the wire from the + terminal of the battery. The main fuse is responsible for supplying all the electrical power of the bike except for the starter itself.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa

SOURCE: Intermittent fuel pump engagement when turning key - 2001 Taurus

try cleaning the connector that goes to the fuel pump, sometimes they corrode on inside. If that does not fix, test the wires feeding fuel pump with a multi meter until the condition shows itself again, if voltage drops to zero or very low then wiring problem, if voltage is unchanged with problem and fuel pump is not working and connectors are all clean, try replacement of fuel pump.

I'm having issues starting my 2003 Yamaha roadstar 1600. I push the start button and it only clicks...I replaced the selinoid and it only clicks. What do I do?

Hi Scott if its clicking its working. Try putting power to the starter direct. If that don't work you need a starter motor. Regards Jim...

I can't get the driver seat off of my 2002 Yamaha Roadstar 1600. Can anyone help, please?

Roadstars have a seat lock operated via ignition switch.
Insert the key into the ignition switch. Turn the key in the counter-clockwise direction as far as you can (don't push down on the key...just turn). You'll hear a click release sound from the front end of the seat. The seat front should now lift for you. Sometimes the lock can stick so you may need to push down on the seat front while turning the key to get the latch released.

Yamaha starter problem

From your description of the failure of the starting system the starter solenoid and the starter clutch is what I though of. It is possible the new starter clutch is bad also. their is TSB about the starter system on this unit.
