The easiest to connect this 2 systems is through network.
u meet a network engineer and tell him to make a croos over networking cable for u.
next u have to configure the network cards in each systems by using the default class c ip address and subnet mask.
i.e 192.168.0.1 with 255.255.255.0 on one system
and 192.168.0.2 with 255.255.255.0 on the other system.
rem to use the same work group in both systems and as well as enable internet connection sharing on one of the system.
hope this helps
thanks

Wireless internet connection

Hi there I would tell you why:
1) your DSL speed band only 1.5M and the upload could be lower then 256K speed. that is not avalible to get good condition for more laptop wireless online at same time
2) other thing, your laptop wieless online in your router situation that depends on the laptop wireless card type, high level (faster)card will get more speed band and aganst other laptop.
so you could not setting any more to get improved.
hope help you something fixed, please take a rating let me know how much helped you thanks! keep in touch your question

Finding wireless card type my Vaio VGN-FS660 laptop has

You will have to remove the cover to the wireless card (located on the bottom of the machine) to see exactly what it is. Then you can go to the manufacturer web site, and download the correct software/drivers.

Inspiron 6000 has trouble picking up wireless signal

Some wireless cards are better than others at picking up weaker signals.
The problem with any wireless transmissions is that radio signals cannot pass through metallic surfaces.
You should position your wireless router away from metallic surfaces/walls and position your laptop so it can receive the radio signals without it passing through any metallic walls. If possible place the wireless router higher than at desk level.

Fast Ethernet IEEE 802.3u is used. Go to http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&identifier=S_BrandShowcase_Customer_Care & download the following drivers to update your ethernet card. The driver you are looking for is: Original - LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN Driver.
Please let me know if this helps at all. If not, will check into it further. Thank you

Wireless card freezes my computer

This may be a driver glitch, uninstall the drivers and reinstall. If it still freezes, then it will be the card. Try a different card.

you should only need to enter the WEP key and get youre friend to remove your mac address. You may also need to refresh the ip address of your wireless card, so go to control panel>network connections>right click to properties>TCP/IP line>properties and ensure 'obtain ip address automatically' is ticked, then reastart your pc. Or you can also click Start>Run, then type ipconfig /flushdns, so as to renew your dns and ip address.

Wireless network connection

you may need to run the network wizard, as your sony may not be set up as using a gateway type connection and may be instructing other pcs to connect via itself and not on the network.
