Check:

  1. water droplets in the fuel tank
  2. transformer not grounded good
  3. restricted fuel filter- causing starvation
  4. air pump pressure not correct

I had the same trouble it was the high-tension (voltage) line was shorting to ground. Once I insulated the line, it stopped misfiring.

ENGINE LIGHT ON CODES P0141 & P0144

code p 0141 refers to heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 2 bank 1--heater control--circuit malfunction===causes --wiring---HO2S--- ECM
code p 0144 refers to heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) 3 bank 1--high voltage ===causes wiring short to positive ---HO2S---ECM
also refers to oxygen sensor(O2S) 3 bank 1--high voltage ===causes wiring short to positive---O2S-- ECM
HO2S sensors are the units in the exhaust manifolds or before the cat converters
O2 sensors are after the cat converter
two completely different operations
use the special tool for sensors as the wires are easily damaged from the wrong tool use
as for misfiring you will get a P0300 (0300,0301,0302,0303 etc) depending on which cylinders are misfiring
when checking for misfiring the injectors , (blocked or not firing) are as important as plugs and wires
If the misfiring continues after sensor replacement , replace the ECM with a known good one as it is common to all fault codes and misfiring

I HAVE A 170 REDDY HEATER THAT RUNS FOR APP.10 MINUTES AND QUITS BLOWING OUT BLACK SMOKE I HAVE CHANGED FILTERS AND CHECKED PRESSURE WAS AT6. PSI CAN YOU GIVE ME ANY HINTS

sounds like you have dirt in your fuel tank, as the heater runas it picks up the dirt in the filter plugging it up. When the heater shuts off, the dirt falls out of the filter. You start the heater back up and it does it all over again. Empty your tank and change the fuel filter. Should be fine then.

Obd 2 scan reading said engine misfire, bad plug. I changed all the plugs, and the position 1 O2 sensor. check engine light is still flashing........What else could it be? Confused in Teeterville

the spark plugs that you changed, evidently 1 of them was misfiring , according to the computer, and the engine since it was misfiring, made the engine run rich, there fore you said that you changed the o2 sensor, so just make sure that you have the o2 sensor connection is connected good, then take your ob 2 tester, and remove the light, it should go out and stay out, if your tester is not equipped to remove the light, then disconnect the positive battery cable for about 1 minute, then reconnect it, but you will most likely have to reset your vehicles clock, and maybe some radio functions, also if the light comes back on again, check the plug wire that goes to the cylinder of the one that was misfiring, hope that is has helped you.
