Question about Pelonis Air Conditioners

1 Answer

My Pelonis oil filled heater wouldn't come on. I discovered that it has a bad fuse(SF129E, U9870, Tf 133 degree, 10A, 250V). Can you supply a replacement or recommend a substitute ? Thanks, Keith

Go to the nearest hardware store or to Radio Shack.  Bring the old one with you.  The main things are the physical size of the fuse and the voltage/amperage ratings.  The other numbers are not important.

You can use a degreaser. The spell will not harm you, just so you know. These heaters are filled with oil that will not harm people from the fumes. Most likely what you are smelling is the part of the oil that burned on the element as it was leaking out. Now as for your floors, I am sorry to hear this but you can replace that portion or call a certified floor repair person that specializes in hard wood floors.
Hope this helps.

Need switch gzs-15-2 can not find retailer

I am also trying to find this switch. It is for an oil filled space heater.
It seems that those of us in the USA that CAN fix things have to suffer from lack of parts because many here just throw stuff away and buy new. These are the same ignorant gas bags that love to talk about recycling but throw their "broken" stuff away.
As for GZS-15 rotating switch, I can only find mention of it on Chinese sites. Even after translating, I find no mention of sale.
Also, fixya is a POS site and I hate seeing so many results of it on search engines.

Only warm air

If its' tank is full of water then empty it. If it is not full of water then the switch underneath the tank may be faulty

I need a switch for Pelonis 4 Disc Ceramic Space Heater Furnace 1500W

generally a primary power swich can be obtained at your local hardware store. A switch rated for at least 15 amps will be needed. Unplug the heater remove the bad swich and take it with you, match up a replacement and install.

3 year old Beckett AFG with Clean-Cut system. New inline filter new strainer, new nozzle, flame looks correct in pattern always. Flame does not sputter prior to shut-off. I did notice that when it shut off...

Called Beckett at 1-800-OIL-BURN and explained the problem. They told me that the solenoid on the oil pump (Clean Cut) was the cause. I purchased a new pump for $50 at the local plumbing supply and installed it. Problem solved.

Durabrand rb-22j1a wine cooler----no power to unit at all after being plugged in, all fuses are good.

I had this problem, no power, no light. It was the power supply output fuse. It appears to not be blown, but a continuity check across the fuse shows an open. Unsolder and replace the 5A, 250V fuse with some locally available Radio Shack parts (holder - 270-739, fuse 270-1071). Access to the power supply board is on the rear, remove the screws on the plastic plate, including the one hidden under the QC sticker. While you are in there, clean the fan and the aluminium fins on the heat sink (cools the Peltier device).

If your fuses are not blown, look at the electrolytic capacitors (the black or blue round metal cans with the aluminium X on the top) to see if they are bulging. Replace any that are bad (a common problem in switching power supplies).

Hope this helps,

Andy B
