Question about Sony Handycam CCD-TRV25 Camcorder
What does it mean?
SOURCE: I have a Sony Camcorder
The specific definition of your Sony TRV608 error code E:61:00 is "Difficult to adjust focus. Inspect the lens block focus reset sensor."
This could mean you have foreign material inside your camera, or a solid-state failure of some kind. Both of these will require servicing at an authorized sony repair center.
That said, another common cause of your E:61:00 error code is moisture inside your video camera. This causes condensation inside the lens and prevents the auto-focus from working, which generates the error.
Therefore I recommend removing the battery, opening the tape transport and placing the unit where it can gently dry out, such as close to a warm air vent. Give it a day in this position to ensure you've dried it out as much as possible before having it serviced.
I hope that helps.

I'm sorry to know that the Camcorder is not playing back the tapes normally. I'll be glad to assist you with this.
Based on the information you've provided, it seems that the Camcorder video head is faulty. Hence I suggest that you use the video head cleaning cassette to clean the video head to resolve the issue. You can use the V8-25CLH or V8-25CLD video cleaning cassette for cleaning the head. This should resolve the issue. Using other video head cleaning cassettes are not recommended. You can contact your nearest Sony dealer to purchase the cleaning cassette.
If the issue persists, service may be required as it requires internal mechanism cleaning. This won't cost you much if done from your nearest Camcorder service center. You cannot get the Camcorder serviced at the Sony factory service center as the model is more than 7 years old.
Please feel free to get back to us for any further assistance.
Thanks for contacting FixYa.
