My car was stolen along with my garage opener remote

I have four remotes and one of them was stolen along with my car yesterday. My garage opener is the liftmaster. what can I do to make sure that they can't get into my garage? How would I disable that single remote? Get new ones? Any other solutions beside getting new remotes?

I own a Liftmaster security + 971LM wireless opener. The second was stolen. I have release all codes from the garage door. Before programming the single remaining opener back to the door is there any concern the stolen opener and the one I still have in my possession are identical? Is there any chance the theives can access my garage/house if I program the remaining remote back to the opener?

On the back of your opener motor unit is a small "learn" pushbutton. When you press it, an indicator light nearby comes on. Keep the button pressed until the light goes out (5 to 10 seconds) and all codes previously set will be erased. To reprogram the unit for the remotes you still have, press the "learn" button again but don't hold it down. While the indicator is lit, press the button on the remote to store its code. Repeat the process for each remote. If you also have an outside keypad the process is the same, just enter the new 4-digit code.

How to reporgram my opener one of my openers were stolen out of the car. I want to purchase a new opener monitor and not have to buy a whole new garage door opener

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and hold this button for 6 seconds and it will erase the memory and none of your remotes will work. Now hold the button down on your remote and then press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote you have.

Where to buy remote control and reset My garage door opener also

To erase the memory of the opener so that your old remote will no longer work you need to locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit. Press and hold this button for 6 seconds. No remotes will now work.

To program the new remote when you get it, hold the button down on the remote and then press and immediately release the smart/learn button.

Call any local door opener repair company from the yellow pages and you should be able to buy a remote from them.
