Question about Thermador RDF30 Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range
I have a Thermador dual-fuel range (model # RDDS30V) and the digital display that shows the bake temperature in orange is only partially lit and therefore very hard to read unless you turn all the lights off in the kitchen. All of the stove and oven functions are working fine. The time display is larger and somewhat dim as well but can still be read. Do you know what is involved in solving this so that we can get a brighter display? Is this something where I could order a part and possibly fix it myself?
Thank you for your time.
Make sure there is proper electrical power going to range. Then check your kitcen circuit breakers or fuse box in your house, then reset the oven controls.
LOL look what i found, a CHILD LOCKOUT FUNCTION-- check this out
TO SET CHILD LOCKOUT
Press and hold the COOK MIN/HR and STOP TIME buttons until indicator word OFF appears in the
display (approximately 6 seconds).
TO CANCEL THE CHILD LOCKOUT
Press and Hold the COOK MIN/HR and STOP TIME buttons until indicator word OFF disappears
from the display (approximately 6 seconds). Mode selections will now be available on the control panel.
