Question about RCA HD52W59 HDTV Projection Television
Hi again. OK here my update. i received the fuses in mail today and was in the process of fixing the fuse when i noticedwhat i suspect might be the cause. there is a solder point number 10 onwhat says CAD or on the half circle solder points on bottom. I hope uknow which im talking about. well nu 10 there is completely no solder and the hole is corroded. there is no part of the circuit board to solder to. it just doesn't look normal to me. but if it is please let me know. i will not try anything until i find out about this tyvm
Nice obsrervation! lead free solder this half circle is it directly under the big black componet with the red wire. i not familer with the notation cad. but the circle is charteristic of flyback. This is the common point that cause the fl231 fuse to blow.i would suggest removing the solder with a ****** or wick the clean and reappy solder when you replace fuse. always look around for bad connections like this. lead free is really become a problem with rca
