Lifecam 3000 won't work with Logitech Vid HD software

Did you try to run the application as administrator? Some video software needs to communicate with the registry and requires elevation.

Whenever I plugged my webcam in, I have to wiggle the wire around a lot and if I touch it when its working, it stops. Now though, It won't work at all. Can I fix this?

It sounds like your USB terminal on your computer is bent or damaged.

This often happens.

Try using another USB port as there are usually multiple ports on the computer.

If this still doesn't work, the camera's cord may be what's having the issues as the terminals and contact points inside are bent.

I would consider getting a new webcam or replacing it if you have recently purchased it.

Hope this helped!

Thanks!

Can i make the polaroid i737 a webcam

Many people ask if they can use their digital camera as a webcam. In the early days of digital imaging, it made sense to dual-function a camera because a webcam was a serious investment. However, webcams are now so inexpensive that manufacturers are not considering this functionality important in their digital cameras. In fact even the word 'webcam' creates the impression of bad imaging, so associating this function with a camera actually makes the camera seem 'cheap'.

So, why do so many people ask if they can do this? I believe it's caused by the 'grandfathered camera' problem. Advances in camera design have been so stunning in the last few years that it makes no sense to use an old camera when you could use a new one and get better pictures. But what do you do with the old camera? This is where people start thinking "I wonder if I can use this as a webcam?".

So, can your camera be used as a webcam? Probably not, but here's how you can tell. Make sure you've installed all the software you can find for your camera, power it up, and plug it in. Windows will tell you if it has a webcam function. If it's a webcam, then it will appear in "My Computer" as a device, right along with all the disk drives. To be sure, go to your control panel and select "Scanners and Cameras". Is your camera listed? If not... it's not a webcam.

In the unlikely event that you have a 'video in' on your computer, and that your camera has a 'video out' then you can follow the instructions on the sony site ("how to use a digital still camera as a webcam"); but most people will not have that yellow 'video in' connection.

Your camera doesn't work as a webcam? No, I thought not. Here's a different suggestion for what to do with that old camera: keep it in a different place. Seriously, keep it in the car, at work, or at the cottage. One day, something interesting will happen there, and you'll be grateful of a camera with ANY resolution, even that old one!

Hi.. my Laptop's built in camera is not working. Dont really know what is the problem as I've never used it yet neither I can find any setup info to locate is it ON or OFF. I mean I'm an old timer so...

Hi salkh10,

The Motion Eye Camera on the Computer will be enabled automatically when the Computer starts. You will need to open the "ArcSoft WebCam Companion" Software to use the Camera.

You can locate the ArcSoft WebCam Companion Software by click "Start", "All Programs", "ArcSoft Webcam Companion".

This should help you to use the Camera.

If the Camera is not working in the Webcam Compnion Software, you may need to re-install the Drivers and Applications to fix it. Please try using the Application to check if that works.

If not, please post back with the version of the Operating System installed in the Computer.

Thanks,

Good Luck!

Thanks for using FixYa.

The whole of the picture has a rosy red tint including subject and backfround.just rebooted from original disk and same problem

You should try using the most recent software for it from their website HERE.

If that doesn't work you can try using the camera on another computer but if it produces the same results it's time for a new webcam.

Best of luck.

How to use i1035 as a webcam?

Apparently, you can't. The owner's manual (http://mediacdn.shopatron.com/media/mfg/1848/spec_file/14070180.pdf) gives no indication that this camera has webcam capability.
