Cannot find a replacement mesh filter for my 12 c. coffee press

Have bought 12 cup replacement wire mesh filters for Bodum--and presumably Bonjour--that still don't fit my press assembly. They are just a little too small. As a result, large grounds pass through the perimeter of the filter, rendering the push motion weak and clogging the spout filter at the start of pouring. Can Bonjour send me a proper sized replacement wire filter disc for my pot? Ple-e-e-e-a-a-ase!!

SOURCE: Coffee doesn't brew full pot

It's possible that the hose or valve running from the tank to the heater is partly clogged. See superkev2000 and W5VSI fixes posted here.

SOURCE: Revere Ware old fashioned coffee pot

1) Boil the water you’ll need in another pot.
2) Put 1 tablespoon of ground coffee (drip grind, not percolator grind) in the reduced diameter, perforated bottom of the brewing chamber.
3) Put the grind/water separator (the perforated, flat handled plate with cup markings on the handle) in the Brewing Chamber, over the coffee grounds.
3) Put the Brewing Chamber on top of the Holding Chamber.
4) Pour the appropriate number of cups boiling water into the brewing chamber; put the lid with the black knob on the brewing chamber.
5) Let the water drain through the coffee grinds (5-10 minutes).
6) Remove Brewing Chamber, clean out the coffee grounds, and replace the lid on the holding chamber.
7) Enjoy your coffee! Keep it warm on the stove at LOW heat setting.

How do I order a filter for my Keurig?

You must be more specific about "filter".
Are you inquiring about the "My K Cup" reusable wire mesh filter to use your own ground coffee? You can order them online through Amazon. Here's a link:

If you're asking about Keurig charcoal water filters, here's a link for that on Amazon:

Hope this helps. Thank you for using Fixya!

Threre are 3 parts, I don't know which goes

Slide the glass part (recipient)in the plastic part (with the handle). Put the amount of coarsely ground coffee you want in it. Pour hot water in it, stir with a spoon wait for a few minutes then put the 3rd part (lid and plunger/filter) on. Push on the round part slowly -- keeping the rod upright, this will push the coffee grains down. Make sure the striped open part of the lid is align with the exit part and you can now pour your coffee into a cup. Demos are available on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kmm0M17_tRQ

Every French press i have bought works well the first couple of times then the screen on the press bends and creates air pocket which when pressing explodes coffee grinds and hot water everywhere!

The trick with any manual French Press coffee maker is to very slowly press the plunger down, after you've allowed the ground coffee to steep/brew for the time you prefer.

I've got an older French Press carafe and had my share of "bent" screens from being too quick when pressing. I finally learned that the slower I pressed the better the unit would survive and the better quality of coffee I'd get as a result.

French Press coffee is not a quick process, what with the boiling water and fresh ground coffee beans and the steeping/brewing dwell time needed to get the hot water infused with the coffee and the very slow pressing filtering process needed to extract the full flavor of the coffee from the ground coffee and water.

Take your time in pressing your coffee and enjoy the great, fresh taste from your efforts.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Need a replacement filter and cannot find one

Original BS filters are still sold on Amazon (search Bodum Santos Replacement Filter) and they are found regularly on ebay. The filter was never the greatest for preventing sediment - but sediment is what you learn to love, more or less, with vacuum pots and presses.

Not a seamstress, I have still managed to hand-stitch a few excellent filters from 100% canton cotton for my older vacpots. Assuming you have the filter hardware, woven cotton and some shirred elastic makes an excellent filter for vacuum pots. Clean/rinse after use and store in a glass of water in the fridge between uses.

Brew on.
