Got an M240 for Christmas. Daughter has one for a couple of months and hasn't had any problems. I loaded a few CD's onto it (via Explorer per the quickstart manual). Started deleting them so I replace them with smaller files. Got most removed but realized I couldn't delete all of them and the M240 showed no files in Explorer. They were on the player but Explorer showed the player to be empty. I got *real* smart and thought I'd just delete the Music folder (and thereby its contents) and then recreate the folder in Explorer. I was able to delete the folder, but the songs were still in the player and it would not let me create the Music folder. Is there a way to reboot the M240 and start over?

To transfer books from CD to your Kindle you will need to use a computer and connect your Kindle to that computer by USB then copy the books from the CD to the Kindle folder that you can find via Windows Explorer.
I would first uninstalled the software using add/remove programs then reinstalling from the CD that came with the player. It could also be a good ideo to check the Fisher Price website for more updated software.
Try to touch the dog using the touch screen below, thereafter, the dog will notice that and come to you. Try this for a few times, then it will instruct you to record the pup's name via the microphone.
My daughter just had this problem with her camera. The camera was off with the lens barrel extended. When I looked at it closely, I noticed that the inner part of the lens barrel was at a slight angle to the camera. I pushed firmly on the low side of the inner part of the barrel, and it popped the rest of the way out. Camera works fine now. Good luck!
This error message may largely be due to the corrupted Music Database file that the Sansa M240 creates to maintain an information pool on the music files downloaded to it.
Normally, if you are unable to completely format the player in Windows Explorer, there are still 2 other (and actually, more recommended) options that you have:
(1) Switching the M240 to MSC mode and formatting in "Disk Management". You can get to this window by right-clicking the "My Computer" icon and selecting "Manage". Make sure that you use the FAT file system to optimize the 1GB memory
(2) Switching the M240 to MTP mode and formatting the player in Windows Media Player 10 or version 11.
The mode of the M240 can be changed by accessing the menu and going to "Settings", then choosing "USB"
In general, formatting the player in "Disk Management" is more effective than formatting it in Windows Explorer.
Also, it would be a good idea to upgrade the player's firmware to the latest version via the SanDisk website:
I hope this helps. The M240 is a great player.
