The solenoid for the water intake is faulty. It may just have some crud stuck in it. You have two, one for hot and one for cold connected directly to the hoses on the back. You can shut off the cold water supply and see if it still leaks - if it does the hot water solenoid is faulty - if the leak stops then the cold water solenoid is bad.

You would have to turn the valve off for a short period of time - until the pressure bleeds off.

I have a GWL11 washer that has a small water leak that appears to be clean water. I looked underneath and couldn't see where it was coming from.

Sometimes water can leak from the hoses where they join the taps and/or the water inlet valves..Check for leaks by running you hands along the hoses and unions. Or there may be a problem inside the area behind the display panel...Unplug at wall and remove the 2 screws at rear of display panel. You may have to remove the lid by sliding it upwards while on the open (vertical) position..sometimes the mixer box leaks where the temperature sensor probe connects...Good luck...Nomess

Leeking water from some were not from hoses

Leaks on this model washer can commonly be determined by the following:

1. If the leak is coming from the from underneath the front center of the washer, it's usually caused by a leaking water pump. If the pump leaks, it is not serviceable and must be replaced. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r397094-replacing_water_pump

2. If the leak is coming from the central area under the wash tub, the tub seal may be leaking. You should see tell-tale signs of water tracks on the gearcase (transmission) if this is the case. Also inspect the wash tub for cracks. Since the outer tub is usually made of plastic, it can crack and develop leaks. This repair involves removing the tub. It's not difficult, but can be extensive. We'll cross that bridge if the time comes - post back and let me know and I can give you advice on how to repair and the parts you may need.

3. If the leak is coming from the right-hand side of the wash tub, consider the air dome. This is a small dome located on the lower side of the wash tub with a small air hose attached. This is how the pressure switch is able to determine the pressure change as the tub fills and turn the water off when full. This air hose can come loose, causing water to pour out while filling (THIS IS NOT A SMALL LEAK). If the air dome is till intact with no cracks the air hose can simply be reattached. If the air dome is damaged, the tub will require replacement.

4. If the leak is coming from the rear of the washer, you will need to check your water inlet valve and associated dispenser hoses. The following link explains how to access the valve and replace (if required):

http://www.fixya.com/support/r600647-replacing_water_inlet_valve_kenmore

Of course, your drain hoses are always suspect. You mentioned those hoses weren't leaking. However, if you have not removed the washer case and inspected them closely, you may want to double check them.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you locate your problem.

Kenmore 70 series is leaking water. Could it be the pump?

It depends on WHERE the leak is coming from. If the leak is coming from the FRONT area of the washer, the drain pump or drain hoses are suspect. If the leak is coming from the REAR of the washer, the water inlet hoses, water inlet valve, or dispenser hoses may be suspect. If the leak is coming from under the CENTER portion of the wash tub, the tub seal or wash tub may be suspect.

The first step is to remove the exterior washer case to gain access to view. The following link explains how to replace a water pump (if required) on your washer, but also includes all the steps necessary to access the washer interior:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r397092-replacing_water_pump

Allow the washer to fill about 1/3 of the way and turn it off before unplugging and removing the washer casing. The washer will not run once you disconnect the lid switch connector, so you will need some water in the tub to see where the leak may be coming from.

NOTE: If the problem IS a leaking pump, these pumps are not serviceable and will need to replaced.

If you have questions, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Oil and water leak

Chances are they are not related if the water is clean. These units can run quite a while dripping small amounts of oil. The drain hose is a possibility but there are other places it can leak from. Call a local tech he can run the machine with the cabinet removed and should be able to find the source of the water leak. good luck

Washer leaking water from underneath

Your leak could be coming from the rubber door seal. Inspect all the way around the rubber seal paying particular attention to the areas behind the rubber seal where it meets the wash tub. They wear with age and can develop small holes. When they start leaking it appears like water coming from under the machine. I hopes this helps.
