I have an Epson stylus colour 860. The lights for ink and paper have started to flash and now the printer is not responding at all. Can this be repaired?

Try turning it off and back on, or restart your computer. If it continues to do this, you may need to replace the printer.

the system (possibly the ink drain hose is full/clogged) is telling the "chip" that it is dead. try pressing all the buttons for 30 sec.s and it should start a "reset" cycle.

Epson C46 colour printer green and red lights are flashing....but

Basically your printer says that you need to replace the waste ink pads. If this happens for the first time to this printer you can just reset the counter using SSC Service Utility (http://www.ssclg.com/epson.shtml) or if it happened more than once you shoul first replace the ink pads and then reset the counter or the printer may overflow. That's it.

Flashing ink cartridge lights, soild paper light

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
