I have used this program w/ problems till this past week ... no changes were made to computer setup as far as I know to cause my problem !
OK here is my problem ... I have Photo Explosion Deluxe Version 3 & now when I click on the icon on my desktop the title page w/ name of program pops up normal the I get this error

NOBODY has been able to help be cure the problem ... Nova Development or Microsoft support have been no help ! this one will probably stump ya'll too but I thought it waas worth a shot since this is my fovorite program to play w/ pictures with & its easy to use ! I have 3 versions & even tried Version 3 but I got the same error messages . I have used all the versions for several years & this is the 1st time I've ever had a problem . HELP ! Thanks for any help whether it works or not !

- here are the new error boxes & in answer to one of ya'lls solutions I haven't found any viruses on my computer . The 1st is an empty black box that has C:\Program Files\Nova Development\Photo Explosion Deluxe ... should this box be empty ? It pops up at the end of my installation for a few seconds .
The next box pops up 1st now whenever I try & open the program & it looks like its part of my program so how do I get it fixed ? I close it then the other 2 origional ones pop up . Please give me a simple step by step way to fix these things . Thanks

Hi,
First do the disk error check.
You can do this by going to My Computer, Right click C drive, goto properties.
and do a disk check.
Once done. Runt the IPE and see if it works. if you see any problem. Uninstall the IPE. download this software and run it. http://www.ccleaner.com/
Install the IPE now.
Hopefully it works.

Initially, try:

- check/re-seat/clean/replace your memories;
- increase your swap file size;
- in Start, Run, msconfig, Startup tab, un-check any and all unnecessary programs such as notifiers, updates, monitors and the likes;
- download, install and run Ad-Aware;
- in Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, do a Disk Cleanup, check all.

its the virus causing any of the files getting corrupt, so because that file is corrupt it is not supporting the software u want to use and showing this error.your pc needs formatting to resolve this issue.but it is a very long procedure and after formatting you require all the other software cd to get installed if you dont have that cd to install the software.it is better to call a engineer at your place and get your pc formatted and the software loaded properly.it will not cost u more then his service charge for this call.

first go to start menu run "chkdsk /r" then press "y" then restrt the system.
then it check your memory.
.then go to my computer properties advanced.then again advanced second one then u see last option virtual memry
then set it to 1.5 * your ram size so if u have 1 gb ram the set it to1500 mb.
if problem remains then create new user in cotrol panel then enter in that user .then check on that user .
go to c: program files then search your soft foldr then openb it.
best of luck.

Try first performing a system restore to a date before you had the problem for first time.

If this does not work, then reinstall Photo Explosion Deluxe, using the original CD.
If the RAM is ok, and you already tried reionstalling software, then the only way out is by reinstalling the system.

- If your computer uses two memory (RAM ) modules, try removing one ram module at the time, to see if one of the two modules is defective, or try a new mwmory stick.If the RAM is ok, and you already tried reionstalling software, then the only way out is by reinstalling the system.

Click this and download the program. Run it to check for virus infection and to correct what the virus changed. restart and try again to update direct x. If it still wont work try to run this. It will check services and other important things which could be disabled causing your program not to work. Restart and try again.

the information contained in the registry about this software is corrupt and it will never work again unless you un-install the programme and clean the registry, there is a very good registry cleaning programme called CCleaner, here is the link:

once you have cleaned the registry, reboot the pc and re-install the software, this may work
I do have to warn you that because of what you have explained about the lack or restore points and the pc never being able to restore anyway indicates to me that the registry is more corrupt than i thought and the system is heading for more problems and will soon fail.
I recomend that you back up all of your data before this happends, because you are looking at recovery or windows re-install

re-installing didn't help (tried re-installing 1 version only ?)
have different versions (all use same executable filename ?, all have same error ?, versions installed have their own separate folder ?)
error happens to this application only ?
Windows OR Anti-virus Program's recent update might have prevented read/write access to some area of a memory which can be used for exploits.

The problem was with Quicktime 7. steps are listed below:
Uninstall program
Reboot system
Right click on start button go to and delete the nova developement folder
Reboot system
Download **** cleaner, install and run it to get rid of the old registry files left behind.
If you have Quicktime 7.0 or higher installed go to add remove programs and uninstall it, Reboot system.
Now the installer from cd should run fine. after install I believe you will be asked to reboot, do so and run the program.
