Question about Refrigerators
My ge gss22jfpa is not freezing. i called a local repair guy. he said the compressor is fine because the coils had frost on them but the fan needed to be replaced. he tried a new fan, and it didn't work. so he said the board was probably bad. he came back with a new board & the fan (new & old) did not work. he said the new board started to smoke (burn). he said the wiring was bad & not repairable. he also said he had heard recently that this model fridge was having problems. any help you can suggest before i spend a grand on getting a new fridge would be appreciated
Sounds to me like your man did not know much about the product. You will need a test meter to diagnose this problem. Call a GE authorized servicer as I assume you are not repairing this yourself. Please leave feedback.
