yes the clutch is right above the trans mission you have to pull trany and there are pads you can replace them and take scotch brite to the lining try this first if pads look good spray some brake cleaner on the pads they may have grease on them

Some models will agitiate for a couple of minutes even with the lid open. Try listening when you close the lid for a "click". If it is missing you may have a bad lid switch.

If the unit is still agitating as it is supposed to, this is usually due to a faulty lid switch.

You have a broken lid switch. Its # ll in the diagram. Part # is 3949238. Let me know if you need info on how to replace it, Dave www.washermd.com
