Re: camera error # 45

If it is under warranty i advice you give it for service as this is a pretty complicated procedure to get it fixed.
This error is caused due to the failure of lens alignment system.Try following the procedure below..
it may be the lens contacts or grit in the gears
open it up on the side of the lens you will see a row of thin gold coloured contacts that report the lens position back to the cpu sometimes these get dirty or bent.on the side of the lens is a motor, look where the gear meets the lens and use a pin to flip out any grit that is stuck in the teeth.
Its very unlikely the lens is "out of alignment" this just cant happen unless its been dropped or bashed, in which case it may be broken.
Also i have heard some people bashing the camera a couple of times to get it working..
hold the camera and bash the edge next to the lens against the palm of you hand as hard as you can, one I did have to get a little more medieval on and bashed aginst a bit of carpet on the bench.. but it worked... might be worth a go if the next step is the bin...

Re: camera error # 45

I'm having a similar issue, but this one is just showing a white screen with no messages. It will take shots great but then I have to go to the computer to see what's been taken (no big deal since there was a long time that we weren't able to preview before having film developed). I checked the users guide to see what it said the solution to your problem was and it says to turn it off and back on (which I assume logically that you have) and then it says to contact Customer Support. I was unable to get into the website today, thus googled to try to find a solution and found this one. Hope it leads to help for you if you haven't found it already.

My camera won't turn on

Well theres yoiur answer. If you have banged it or dropped it you have possibly cracked the motherboard inside. Sometimes these work intermittently with rthis type of misuse. other timjes it just stops. Cheaper to buy a new one than muck around getting it fixed
