Unfortunately, this can't be fixed without replacing the picture tube. The drop caused a piece called the shadow mask inside the tube to warp or break loose. When that happens, the red, green and blue beams in the tube don't hit the right places on the screen. There isn't any way to repair this kind of damage.

If you had professional movers doing the job, their insurance should cover some or all of the cost of repairing the TV (replacing the tube, that is) or replacing the set. I wish I could give you better news.

I have a Panasonic TH-42PZ77U TV and the video is messed up. The left half of the screen is inverting colors and has a static like color mess moving/jumping around that half of the screen. Any suggestions...

More than likely you have a bad X or Y board. The only solution to that problem is to replace the defective parts. Call the manufacturer and see if your TV is still under warranty. Most of the time if it is under warranty they can dispatch a technician to repair the TV. If not, and you have to fix it yourself you are better off replacing the TV as the cost of repair could easily exceed three hundred dollars.

I unplugged my cable and tv to move it and when I plugged it back in the color has been very off. Yellow seems to be the dominant color and the contrast is really off. I've messed with the settings a bit...

Need a little more info.
What type of flat screen is it? Plasma, LCD, DLP or Rear Projection?
How is it connected to the cable box? HDMI, DVI, or Comp Video (RCA cables)?
Have you tried another video source like a DVD player? Do you still have the same problem with the DVD playing?
And finally, did it get handled a little rough, bumped hard, or dropped any during the move?

all colored tv has built in demagnetizer and activates everytime the tv is power on.but there are instances that discoloration of screen due to magnettic effect cannot be remove by built in demagnitizer.you can buy a separate demagnitizer for tv....to use it you need to switch on the tv .plug in the demagnitizer to ac outlet point the demagnitizer in center of the screen/front press the butoon of the demagnitizer ad move it sideways and circles as if your wiping the colors repeat it untill the color is clear.

Good luck hope this could help you..

My surround sound speakers where too close to my tv and now my colours are messed up what do i do to fix the problem?

Seems the magnetic field from the speakers has caused the color purity in the televisions screen to become discolored, You might try unplugng the set and moving the speaker futher away from the television, Wait at least 20min before cutting it back on, There is a degaussing coil surrounding your picture whis supposed degauss the set everytime you cut it on. Much like you seen on older computer monitors when you press the degauss botton the screen would suddenly go to a rainbow of colors and then return to normal. Depending on how long the speaker has been there you might have to call your servicer and have them come out and manually degause the set for you.

Just purchased tv and the quality of the picture is still fuzzy tried to mess around with the resolution but it still isnt very sharp at all

Hi,
The TVs produce picture using entirely different methods. Usually the colors and especially level of black color are better on plasma, LCD will have some trouble various shades of gray and black especially shading on peoples faces etc.. This is not a defect in the LCD just a limitation in current technology.

My colors all of a sudden went out of wack

Is there an advanced convergence setup anywhere in the menu where the screen displays a grid? If so, you might want to get into that and move along the grid to each section that looks off. Adjust until the color falls behind the gridline, and move on to the next. It can be a time-consuming process, but should take care of your convergence issues.
