Try to examine the screen with the color turned off---is it a uniform color other than gray or black and white?

A photo posted somewhere with a link showing what it looks like might be helpful.

SOURCE: sony bravia kdl-52w3000, turn tv on, no picture or

Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.

To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).

How do you adjust vertical height on sony bravia tv

Check the aspect ratio set. If it is set to wide, there will be black bars at top and bottom of the screen. Go to its picture setting menu, and adjust the settings. If it do not help you, enter its service mode to adjust the picture height. Although this is a semi-skilled work, if you have patience and concentration, you can do this adjustment. There is no need to open the TV. If you wish to get more details about how to enter service mode, and adjust the data values there, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Sony bravia kdl 52w3000 picture adjustment. The picture is too bug for the screen. I cant figure out how to shrink it.

I have a different Sony, but I think they all work the same. Go to menus (Press Home) Then select "Settings" and select "Screen Settings". Set Wide Mode to "full", Auto Wide to "off" , Auto Display Area to "off", Display Area to "normal". I hope this works for you

Sony Bravia 46'' picture has a slight green tint and adjusting the Hue does nothing.

hello!
that could be the t-con to main board cable's problem. first, try to tighten grounding screws.those, which connecting grounding latches of the cable.
You need to open your set. This cable is a thick shielded one with two 30 or so pins plugs. They are NOT interchangeable. In case you try to swap cable's ends. Try to move latches by hand without unplugging connectors, while TV is running. Very gently! If those moving a bit, you may see "greenge" vanishing. Tighten those screws with "phillipls" screwdriver by hand. if there is no difference, you may need to replace that cable. I'm talking about "greenish" ghosts on the picture, intermittent. If I'm wrong, it might be the main board's issue, but always start with small. Main boards are not interchangeable, factory replacement only! Cables-are.
Good luck,
Alex.

Sony bravia lcd tv-

If you are using a HD cable box or satelite with component outputs, be sure that all 3 cables ( green, red, and blue ) are making good connection.A loss of red or blue will cause color shift. Usually,if the tv menu comes up as the correct color but the picture dose'nt, it is most likely a signal problem.
