However, there were problems with the download becasue quicktime failed to initialise - this error process continued each time and now she can't use itunes or the internet.she has tried to download the previous itunes version but with no without any success. In addition, none of the USB drives are working. Can anyone help becasue she no has no pc or ipod and the itouch is just a redundant piece of kit it seems

Vista is a hassle in all my experiences, have you tried completely uninstalling itunes and reinstalling your brower
is it only the browser that cannot connect to the internet or is it other programs too?
you could try using a system restore point

Restoring factory settings on a toshiba satellite ?? i was playing around with resizing the partitions and i goofed up and deleted the boot info bought a vista disk and installed windows vista. but i would...

Im not sure what exactly you have in the recovery partition ..but from what I know ..this is accessible by pressing F11 on boot ..and the info stored in it will restore the computer ..if you had vista in it before...probably will reinstall it ..so first just try to boot..and press f11 during the device displaying ..just like entering bios..and follow the instructions if it works..
another way is to install a clean operation system ...(the one that you use to have ..) by booting from cd ..(this will allow you to rearrange the partitions during install...in the moment when it sees previous OS ..and ask to choose a location for install..
after a clean install use the recovery cd that came with the laptop..
But..first try the recovery from that partition..if f11 do not work let me know and I will make some research in this matter ..

Windows vista home basic problem (acer aspire 6930)

Unless you can find and verify you have an orignal CD there is nothing you an do but buy another license for th use of Vista. If you made a back up set up. Have yo ulooked at the bottom of the laptop. Most of the time it has the Vista sticker with the key for your windows use. reinstall and use that key.

Run MS Vista on Dell 9100

The reason they told your daughter that is because either there isn't a powerful enough CPU and enough memory to support it and also there are no vista drivers for that laptop on Dell's website.

If you decide to put vista on that laptop your going to need to make sure that whatever hardware drivers vista doesn't detect, you'll need to search on the net to find vista compatible drivers if they are out there, it will be time consuming.

My recommendation from my own experience, make sure you have at least a 2GHz processor and 1GB or memory.

HI I have just bought an AWA DM 726 LCD and DVD Micro System for my grandaughters birthday. It has an Ipod dock which is what she wanted but I am now unsure and a little worried that it may not fit her...

From what I've read researching your question, it would appear that the itouch comes with a dock adapter. If she has the adapter that came with it, she should have no problem using the docking station. Best of luck to you and I'm sure she'll be thrilled with her great gift!

I bought a laptop without OS how can i now get vista in it?

You will need to get a windows system disk or install disk and boot up with this in the laptop to load windows whatever into your hard drive and set your laptop up to run on the new drive. Here is Microsoft's tutorial on how to install and set up windows:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/winxp/default.mspx
Hope this helps you.

1.I think BIOS Problem
2.You get Latest BIOS From This Site http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_5315.html

Best of luck

Warning :Flashing the wrong BIOS can cause harm to the system. Acer recommends that you should only upgrade your firmware/drivers if you have been instructed to do so by an Acer Customer Care representative. By using these firmware/drivers you agree to accept the possibility of product failure.

Clicking open windows

This mouse does not require a driver. It works with the innate Vista driver. This product originally shipped with either iTouch or MouseWare, which are not compatible with Vista. I strongly recommend to uninstall iTouch and/or MouseWare prior to migrating to Windows Vista. After iTouch and MouseWare are uninstalled, the basic functionality of your devices will be provided by the Windows native driver.
