  1. Access your router's admin page by pointing your web browser to
  2. By default, username = admin and password = blank, no password.
  3. Go to the Setup Tab.
  4. Click on the Manual Internet Setup options
  5. Then, under Internet Connection Type, you choose PPPoE from the list.
  6. Enter your user name and password that your new ISP provided you.
  7. You also need to answer if you have a static IP or Dynamic IP. If you are given a static IP by your ISP, then you should also put it there.

Just give it a try and post me feedback if there are.

I have a belkin router N-150 F6D4230-4 and it has been hooked up for a while. Well, I had to get my internet turned back on today and now my wireless internet does not work. The modem light is flashing on...

It would be best if you setup the router again. Restore the router to factory defaults. Note: This will remove all previously configured settings "some router has reset button on the back of the router cover by a sticker. The reset button is small that you need a pen to reset it."

1.Unplug the power to the cable / DSL modem
2.Connect the power to the router.
3.Connect a computer to one of the LAN ports of the router.
4.Restart your computer.
5.From the computer connected to the router, open your web browser (internet explorer).
6.Enter the router's address,
7.Click Login in the upper right-hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click Submit.
To configure the router to connect to the Internet, you must enter information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) into the "Connection Type" section in the left-hand column under the "Internet WAN" heading of the router's configuration page. If using DSL Internet, you may need to enter the PPPoE username and password. Likewise, if you have been issued a static IP address by your provider, the static IP fields (including network mask and gateway) must also must be set in the router.
ISP Connection Type
Charter PPPoE, Dynamic
Comcast Dynamic
Earthlink PPPoE, Dynamic
Qwest PPPoE
Road Runner PPPoE, Dynamic
Verizon PPPoE, Dynamic
8.Plug the power back into your Internet modem.
9.Verify that this computer can connect to the Internet properly. Open a new web browser and visit a few Internet sites such as or
10.Finally, configure additional network security features as desired to guard your systems against Internet attackers

If issue is not resolve you can contact your Internet Service Provider for assiatnce.

hello! i will be more than glad to assist u in this concern..the possible solution here is u need to setup the internet connection setup on the router.. there are many option like, dynamic setup-this is auto detect, static ip or pppoe, check the type of setup from ur isp.. ex. ur setup is static ip addressing, to check the settings, connect ur computer directly to the modem and from the computer click on start, run and type in cmd,dos prompt will appear, type in at the prompt, ipconfig/all and write down from a piece of paper..the ip address, subnetmask, default gateway , dns server, then u need to type in the info at the setup page of the router on the internet connection setup and selct static ip, if u are using a pppoe, u need to setup the username and password given to u by the isp and set it up to the router and make sure that ur going to disable the pppoe software u used from ur computer.. if u are using a cable modem u need to mac clone the nic of ur computer.. i hope this will help u.. good luck

Linksis router wont work help me out

First of all contact your isp and get your connection settings. If you are able to setup the router using the cd provided then good. If you are still having problems then go ahead and contact linksys (remember linksys charges for the support). I suggest get a technician to assist you in setting up.

The best thing to do would be to contact your Internet provider to be sure. There are a couple things you can check on your own that can help you determine this. When you use your DSL or Cable modem without the Router how does it work? Do you not have to assign any IP addresses or DNS settings to get it working? If so, that is a Dynamic IP Address setup. If you have go to into the TCP/IP settings and specify the IP address and the DNS settings that is a Static IP Address setup. If you have to click on an icon that goes through a connection process that uses a User name and Password, that is a PPPoE IP address setup. Once you are able to determine that you should be able to follow the instructions in the user manual.
