Question about Alpine Car Audio & Video

Open Question

I have a tme-740bt alpine screen. When i connect my mobile phone to the bluetooth it connects fine and i can use the screen to make a call. When i am on a call the sound will only last for 5 mions then goes along with the mic so no one can hear me and i can not hear them. The phone is still connected to the screen and i can drop the call but even if i make another call i still have no sound until i turn the screen off and back on then i get sound for 5 mins again. I have tried it with a sony ericsson k850i and a k800i and both do the same.

SOURCE: sony ericsson wont turn on

i think the wires that go to the screen are broken. they tend to do that on slider phones and flip phones.

SOURCE: I just got an Alpine

a few problems could happen...try connecting the power antenna up, and the amp wire into that also...i am a mobile electronics installer and have had to do that a lot.....also, you may have a factory amplifier that isnt letting really any sound out....the factory amp should let the speakers work at all with a aftermarket radio unless you buy a bypass but you never know...i would first try the first thing i mentioned

SOURCE: alpine type-r 2ohm dual voice coil help

try reconnecting your rca's from the deck to the amp when finished wire one speaker positive to positive on left channel and negative to negative on right channel then connect the 1st subwoofer. if all power and sound is fine and working turn off power to amp and connect negative terminal of 1st sub to positive on 2nd sub and positive from first sub to negative on second crossing the wires runs the speakers in series another way to try is parralel the speakers wiring by connecting positive left channel output of amp to positive on 1st sub same with the negative then splice positive to positive on second sub and same with negative.

Hi, same problem (v3.80), but finally conected. I would say that is related with bluetooth name length of the phone.
Try setting the phon's name to something smaller.
Conected with an android device, Motorola MB200 (DEXT)

Cannot access bluetooth menu in the Alpine iva-d106

To connect the iva-d106 with the kce-400bt you need another cable
(KWE-460V), and to connect the ipod you'll need the KCE-435IV, first you connect KCE-400bt to the IVA-D106 using the KWE-460V cable, then conect the ipod to the KCE-400bt using the KCE-435IV

Have an alpine 9886 stereo and cannot connect my blue tooth ready phone...

Hello maslynab,

The Alpine CDA-9886 is Bluetooth ready but requires an adapter such as Alpine's KCE-400BT or a generic adapter in order to pair with a phone.

Hope this helps.
