Re: Sandisk E260

Some movies cannot go on mp3s because they will not fit...its according to how many gigs you have, like a e260 for instance its only a 4 gig.a movie can be way more than 4 gigs.maybe even 20 movies might not be a very good will take alot of or all of your space.but you can put video clips on on one like that...

Sansa e260 wont be detected by computer

I assume that you are running an older version of Windows from XP/2000. If you can get on the internet, go to Sansa's site and download the driver from there. Here is a link

My XP system does not recognize Sandisk Sansa e260

The XP did not recognize the device because I used a after- marked USB expander board that did not provide enough power to the device. Plugging to the Motherboard - attached USB port solved the problem.

Sansa e260 failing in recovery mode

You can try this.

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.
