Hi.

E8 is fault connection from CCU (Control board) to balancing sensor.

When you get E8, this is often because of a faulty control board.

Try first disconnecting power for a couple of minutes, to reset the appliance.

If you still get E8, then you need to call a technician. Testing is done jumping the two wires to the sensor to bypass the sensor, then replacing either sensor or control board.

If you want to arrange a repair, then you can call the phone number listed on the machine owners manual.

Regards.

Daewoo e8 - engine error! or Bad soldering.
Remove the control panel (the one in which many connections). Remove the rear rubber compound around contacts blue relay.
Resolder them. And it will be all ok!
Or - remove the entire back of the compound and look for where the bad soldering (cold soldering ). You can see it - blackened or exfoliated. Just solder all.

Hi, thanks for the solution. I removed the 4 screws olding the controal board, but do not want to push too hard and the board does not pull out. What procedure should I have to remove the card safely? thank you very much

Thanks rrromzes, this saved my washing machine. My symtoms were E8, intermittent drum spin, and intermittent water inlet. All seems to work now after fixing solder joints.

Hi bruno, it is not easy removing the board as it is covered in silicon/rubber all around. How i got it out was scrape the edges with a flat screw driver cutting the rubber then using 2 flat screw drivers i would dig under the board from the edges concentrating on the clips that hold the board down and lift if up trying to take the board with the back rubber in one piece if possible. My sitiuation was diy or trash so i had nothing to loose.

Sorry, i'd like to update with the solder fix. The problem came back shortly afterwards and i managed to fix it again by using an air compressor to spray the carbon brushes on the motor underneath the washer. Seems to have fixed it. Have put it through about 5 cycles now without a problem. I'm now putting it down to dirty carbon bushes. Hope that helps.

Daewoo DWD-F1011 1E error code I have a daewoo washing machine model DWD-F1011 and it start working the wash before no working spin and gives error code 1E. Any idea what that might be?

I do not believe that is a 1E I think it's an IE error code which would be water inlet wiring or something like that. Here is the code list, scroll down until you find IE, Daewoo errors start at E2, hope this helps.

I believe the EO code means the pump is blocked, and you will have to clear the pump for it to work again.

Error codes

If this machine is like other of its type then you may find the manual taped to the inside of the machine near the bottom side panel.
open the bottom access panel (3 screws on bottom front lip) and look for it as it will have the codes. near where the filter is .
while you were down there cleaning the filter did you check that the pump impellers move freely and were not clogged with any debris.
