Because the camera remains on at all times, even after installing, uninstalling and reinstalling, unplugging and plugging back in, it remains on; so its impossible to use it to talk to people on any programs, record, or take pictures with it cause it says its in use, whats wrong?

Re: Cannot sync with programs...
This is probably the last programme you were using it on keeps cycling using the usb connection and looks as if your camera is still in use, if you have'nt already, plug into a different usb port and try again.
Have you also tried the settings again in MSN or whatever you use it with.

It seems your camera is not installed, or the installation is corrupted. Please, try reinstalling your camera: 1.Start>Control Panel>Uninstall a program>find your camera, click on it and hit Uninstall, confirm if prompted. 2. Restart your computer. 3. Insert your installation disc-the one you got with the camera, plug in the camera (connect with the computer, and start installation. 4. When installation finished, unplug the camera (disconnect from the computer) and restart your computer. Should work now. Regards!
dont know which cam your using but uninstall turn off anti virus and reinstall software. make sure the cam is unplugged during this time. plug in the cam when the program asks. should restore control function.
UNPLUG your camera from the USB port, first. If you have your installation disk that came with the camera, completely uninstall the drivers (in add and remove programs in control panel). Reinstall the original drivers from your installation disk and when instructed, plug the camera back into the USB port. Most USB devices require that you FIRST install the drivers and THEN plug in your device. If this does not work, try downloading new drivers from the manufacturers website and use those, or Google yawcam (yet another webcam) and use that program and drivers. It is a generic program and drivers that I have used in the past after I bought a cheap webcam off eBay that didn't have drivers that worked and no controls for the camera. If any of this is helpful, please rate it as helpful. Good luck.
First, make sure you follow the instructions from your camera manufacturer to ensure the proper installation of your camera.
This involves inserting the camera installation CD, being guided through a few steps for installation, and restarting your computer. Plugging in the camera's USB cord at the incorrect time during the camera software installation procedure can cause various problems.
To reinstall your webcam:
Uninstall any existing camera installations. Click "Start," "Settings," "Control Panel," and "Add/Remove Programs." From the list, choose your webcam software and click Remove.
Unplug the camera's USB cord from the computer.
Reboot your computer.
Insert your camera's setup/installation CD.
Follow the instructions described by the camera setup program, and plug in your camera only when prompted. This is usually done after restarting your computer.
Disconnectthe Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded softwareprogram. When the program asks you to connect the camera to theUSB port, do so and it should work. Then to use it on the Web, do this. Web Camera’s have to besetup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the cameraon your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype. Each program has Options that have to be setup in order forthe Audio and Video to function properly. A. Skype Setup: After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/) set it up as follows:
Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Yourfriends and Family will now be able to see and her to you. B. Yahoo Setup: After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger (http://www.soft32.com/download_30.html) set it up as follows:
Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.
Uninstall any driver for webcam and unplug webcam 1) reinstall drivers make sure they are for your operating system 2) when driver installed it should come up with a screen asking you to plug camera in. if not reboot when drivers installed and then plug camera in then it should be found and installed . this method works most of the time any USB device should not be plugged in until drivers installed
Ok, take a breath... What has happened, is although you uninstalled the Logitech software, the folders still exist (as with any program uninstallation).
Unless you're comfortable with poking around your C drive, then download and run a program called "ccleaner" at www.ccleaner.com, which in a normal scenerio will remove redidual files left behind by an uninstall.
Once you have installed ccleaner, choose "tools" and use their uninstaller to remove the logitech software (if it shows on the program list).Even if it doesnt show, still run the "cleaner" function", as there will always be temp files lurking around that could mess up an installation.
Then, go to Logitech's site and get the latest software for your camera model.
Be sure to NOT plug the camera in until it tells you to do so!! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
You may have to go into Skype's video configuration utility to setup the cam, but I think you can take it from there. Good luck!
First of all uninstall all of the software.
after the uninstall reboot your machine leaving the camera unplugged.
After rebooting the computer, install the veo software drivers and the program.
The program should prompt you to plug in the camera. This should work (it has in the past)
First, have you tried restarting the computer? If that doesn't fix it check the task bar in the bottom right to see if the webcam software is running down there, then use ctrl-alt-delete to check the task manager to see if any webcam software is running there. Only one program is able to use the webcam at a time so you just have to find what other program is using it.
