Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Text/Voice Messages I've had my phone for over a year and a half. Since day 1, I have had text messaging problems meaning I wasn't recieving nor sending them out until I would turn and off my phone. My battery was also terrible and decreased tremendously up until recently where I would make 1 phone call and it would die on me. Anyway, I got a new battery and now my text messaging problems are in full force to the point where not even turning on and off the phone solves anything and my voice mail is not even coming through. HELP!

Re: Text/Voice Messages

I had the same problem. If you go to your message settings and select GPRS, change it to ON then to OFF. Then turn your phone off for a few mins then back on. You should receive all of your messages and all of your sent ones will go through. I have had to do this a couple of times, but it does fix it for quite a while. It is a know problem with the V3. Hope this helps. :-)

Cant send or recieve text messages on my mobile phone

hi, if you are having trouble sending or recieving text messages then the fisrt thing you need to do is delete all the sent and recieved messages and also drafts due to the fact that if your memory is full this will give you loads of problem sending and recieving text or mms messages so deleting these will then get your messages working again.

If how ever you still cant send or recieve text messages then the chances are that your message center number is wrong or got mest up, what you need to do is contact your service provider and ask them to send you the text message center number settings, they will then tell you the correct message center number and how to change this setting on your phone.

They wont charge for this and it will only take 2 minutes to solve your problem.

Problems recieving messages fully

There is nothing to worry about it.It is only a network problem. This can occur either when the network is too busy or jammed. Also make sure not to open messages from unknown sources as it can contain malicious contents or viruses.

Why can't I recieve text messages from other cell phones?

I had this problem once with another cell and I found out that some of the text messages from other phones, like the LG and PDA phones send with kilobytes that are needed to be "downloaded" through a multi-media package or internet access. If you are able to send texts and they receive them, check with your carrier.
Also, try shutting the phone off and restarting.

Let me know if this helps.

I can send my text messages but i can't recieved any text messages in all networks

Check Your Message Centre Number With Your Network Provider. The Number Will Be In The Messages Menu In Message Settings And Then Text Message Settings. It May Be Different On Your Phone But Similar.
You May Have Accidently Changed Something.
I Would Also Check That Ypu Havnt Disabled Recieving Text Messages.

Maybe This Helps You,I Hope So.

Problems with text messaging

Probably configuration problem. Make sure the center number is the one used by your service provider and set Reply via same center number to No.

Not recieving text messages

Just Try either of the following ....

Try checking the SMSC (Message Center Number) number configured on your phone. If the Message Centre number is not configured or wrong then you will not be able to send..but you can receive.
Check... is there any setting called Inbox Setup in Message menu, then Text msg Setup -> Use GPRS -> NO
With Regards,
