Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

4 1/2 year old Samsung DLP HLN5065W. Just started making a sound like a wood saw, but obviously not as loud. It's not the bulb, and the picture is okay. Could it be the fan?

Samsung DLP HLN5065W tv Black & White Picture

Yes,the problem is the colors wheel it dead. That one of the cause by the colors wheel, other are alots of squiling noises and making very loud buzzing sound. The cooling fan that u think is overheating, does it stop sometimes, when the tv is still on?Yes,than replaced it also,no than it still ok.Just hire the tv repairman, the parts he'll take care of it,don't order the parts,u might get the wrong parts or different sizes, that will not fit in ur tv.

Samsung DLP color has gone Muted...Color Wheel or Bulb???

The color wheel or lamp ballast needs replaced...it would be hard to know which without being there to look at to fix the humming problem, neither part is that is that expensive if you price shop, you may want to try one at a time ot save money. Also to fix the picture you need to realigh the DMD board with the help of another person watching the picture.Hope this helps.
