I need parts

Impeller and spreader assembly wore out with very little use. Is there an exploded diagram I could use to identify damaged parts, and where can I order them?

Impeller rubing on the housing after motor starts.

The motor bearing on the pump end may have failed. Looks like this pump cost about $200 so having it inspected and repaired may be close to that. Unless you know someone who works cheap or you have some mech abilities. Here is a link to an exploded assembly parts drawing.

I cleaned the trap but the empeller sounds as is it hitting sometheing but I was not able to feel anyhing around the empeller. pump motor seems to be running hot and smells as if it burning

Replace your drain pump. It does not take much to damage these small drain pumps. If anything was lodged in the pump reservoir for any significant period of time it could have damaged the impeller blades, impeller shaft, or pump motor. So, if the impeller or motor become damaged, and the pump does not pull water at the correct volume, you may experience drain error codes if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes. If this occurs, you will have to replace the pump in order to get any errors to clear, or the washer will not complete any cycles. The following link explains how to replace the pump:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574350-replacing_the_drain_pump_in_a_front_load

A replacement can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. The first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need. If the model number is correct, the part number is 280187. The pump comes as a complete assembly and parts cannot be purchased separately.

NOTE: For a full explanation of all the error codes, each one of these appliances come with a technical data sheet inside.

To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The access screws are located under the bottom front edge of the panel. You may have to prop the two front fett of the washer up for better access ( a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel should drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.

The tech sheet lists all error code definitions, troubleshooting data, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. I mention the tech sheet because you may need it to troubleshoot this error code.

Read through the information provided, and if you require additional assistance, please post back and let me know.. I hope you find this information helpful.

Is there an exploded assembly diagram I can reference

Hi LONGLEY632. It sounds like you’re in the need of your mixer’s parts list. It provides ‘reasonable’ exploded views of the various components of your mixer. Enough so that you can disassemble, identify parts and reassemble your mixer.
You can download a PDF version from the KA website at: http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/home.
Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals & Guides> then enter the visitor type “Consumer” and the 6 character model number, in your case use KSM90P, in the Model Number box. Select one the files listed for your model that appears under Parts List (16): KSM90PSWH0.pdf (354.08 KB) and save that file to your PC. Check to verify this matches your mixer model.
Good luck! I hope this helps. Howard, Burke, VA

Won't pump out water. no kinks or plugs. comes when vac is attached

Have you checked the drain pump reservior? Something could still be obstructing the pump impeller and restricting it from turning. The following link explains how to check the drain pump:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574284-checking_the_drain_pump_on_a_front_loade

If you have verified that the pump and drain lines are clear, you may have a failed drain pump. It does not take much to damage the small impeller and/or motor in these pumps. The following link explains how to replace the pump (if required):

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574350-replacing_the_drain_pump_in_a_front_load

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites are reputable and offer great service with competitive pricing, so shop and compare. The first three sites I listed also include helpful exploded view parts diagrams to assist you in locating and properly identifying the parts you need.

The top part of the agitator won't turn but the bottom will. what do i do?can i remove the top part and replace a gear?

Whirlpool has a split agitator design. The upper portion is called the auger, while the bottom is called the agitator. Between these components is a agitator cam assembly. This problem is commonly caused by worn agitator dogs or the agitator cam assembly. The following link explains what the dogs are and how to replace them:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608577-replacing_agitator_dogs

The part number is included in the link provided. You can purchase replacements at pcappliancerepair.com for about $5. For a little more you can purchase the entire cam replacement kit, which includes the cam, the thrust bearing, and the dogs for about $11 or $12. IMPORTANT NOTE: The model number you have this question listed under did not have the split agitator design. It used a single piece agitator with a center post cap installed. If you need further assistance in identifying parts, please post back with your complete model number (located along the wash tub rim under the lid).

NOTE: You can refer to the excellent exploded view parts diagrams the web site has to offer for assistance. Whirlpool also recommends the application of a little grease on the thrust washer. The part number for their recommended grease is AP3098553.

If you have any questions about this repair, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: DO NOT overtighten the agitator bolt. This can cause damage to the plastic, or restrict the agitator movement. Tighten until snug only.
