Question about Nikon D50 Digital Camera
I recently bought a D90 and it was working fine 2 dayz before and today while at a studio i was shooting the auto focussing stopped. Its just when I press the half button there is a movement at the lens but focussing seems jammed up. To me it looks like either the motor inside camera is too weak to rotate the lens or the len is too tight. I got a Nikkor 1.4 D 50mm.I m just wondering if there is a problem with the camera or lens & I got only this lens at this moment. What do u think Sir
This is most likely a problem with the lens. Do you have the switch on the side of the lens at 'A'? Are you able to focus manually? It is a common fault that can occur if the lens has receive a knock or the camera has been dropped. Also, grit or sand in the lens mechanism could cause this. It is recommended that you send this camera to a qualified service centre.
