Hi,

Are the Streak lines vertical or horizontal ? Most likely it could be due to Toner issue, Try to remove the toner and clean it and re-install it

Regards,
Suhail

SOURCE: Ricoh CL3100N

Hi,

I've noticed that sometimes in "Page setup" (assuming it is a MS word document you are printing), there are two columns under the "Paper" tab. the left column is the paper source for the first page and the second column is for all following pages. Ensure both columns are set to auto tray select or tray1/2.

My understanding for the second page to ask for paper is either:

1/ what is mentioned above,
2/ the second page is not an A4 size document (mixed size pages).

hope this helps.

SOURCE: How do you clean the print rollers? All my copies

It might not be the rollers but the image drum. A bad image drum will sometimes cause streaks on print outs. If you look at the right side of the image drum you will probably see a streak that matches what is being left on your paper. Be careful not to touch the image drum as it will cause fingerprint on your printouts! Of course if the image drum is bad it will need replacing and fingerprints won't matter.

The instructions as copied from the Pixma 480 "onscreen manual." (Only the text -- not the images -- could be pasted into the solution. Hope you can follow the text.) Steve G.

Prepare 2 sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper

1. Make sure that the power is turned on, and load 2 sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Rear Tray.

2. Open the Paper Output Tray gently, and open the Output Tray Extension.

3. Print the print head alignment pattern.
- Press the Menu button.
- Select Maintenance, and press the OK button.
- Select Print head alignment, and press the OK button.
Note: To print the current head position adjustment values, select Head alignment print in the Maintenance menu and press the OK button. See Selecting Menus on the Top Menu Screen.)
- Select Yes, and press the OK button to print alignment sheet.
- Check the pattern is printed correctly, select Yes and press OK button.
- Confirm the displayed message and press the OK button.

The Print head alignment screen appears.

4. Adjust the print head position.
- Check the printed patterns, and use the (Left) or (Right) button to select the number of the pattern that has the least noticeable streaks for column A.
Note: If it is difficult to select the best pattern, select the pattern that has the least noticeable white streaks.
(A) Less noticeable vertical white streaks
(B) Noticeable vertical white streaks
(C) Less noticeable horizontal white streaks
(D) Noticeable horizontal white streaks
- Repeat the same procedure to input the pattern number for each column from B to L, then press the OK button.
- Select Yes to continue printing, and press the OK button.
- The second page of print head alignment sheet will be printed.
- Confirm the message for print head alignment, and press the OK button.
- Check the printed patterns and use the (Left) or (Right) button to input the number of the pattern that has the least noticeable horizontal streaks for column M.
- Repeat the same procedure to input the pattern number for each column from N to R, and press the OK button.

On Canon iRC 3200 Laser Printer:: streaks of fainted print

if one side prints well its not the fuser, plus those fusers normaly make alot of noise when they start to act up. right above the bypass tray is a cover with a screw in the front of it. remove this and inside is the ITB belt(two blue handles) if you pull it out there is a metal plate on the bottom bending this up can solve this problem. the paper can drag across this plate causing streaks.hope this helps.

Streaks in prints

What I would do is remove all cartridges, wipe the belt w/clean cloth use an air can to clean the machine, check the drum on each cartridge see if there is something, it could be there was a change in Voltage and it burnt the drums. change 1 more toner cartridge to see if that color goes away, if it does then you will know if the drums are the problems.
I've had a problem w gen toners doing the exact same thing, so I had to OEM and it went away. Good luck>

Yellow not printing - but only in streaks

Your yellow problem sounds like a bad yellow developer housing. Take the drum out and look at the developer housing, You will need a flash light to do so. See if the roller is solid yellow. Even if it is there may not be any developer left in the housing.
The Cyan sounds like the drum since it gets worse as it prints.
That can also be caused by the transfer belt cleaner. But that normally is the opposite. It has a rainbow sort of streak and it gets better as the machine runs.
