This is an 8-month-old printer which has been working fine until yesterday when suddenly it's started throwing an extra sheet of paper in between a run of copies. I've cleaned the registry and rebooted both it and the PC to no avail. Happening primarily in Word - not tried other programs as I rarely have the need to run off more than 1 copy in them, but would like to get it sorted as it's quite frustrating when I'm printing 20 copies and end up with 39 sheets (it doesn't do it at the end of the run intriguingly). Is it likely to just need a driver reinstall??
Thanks.

Printer setup defines different emulator you can use such as IBM Pro/ Brother/Generic. Try a different one that as set now. See if that helps. Does it do the same of printing with a different
application? You may have page length setup wrong in application.

I would move the printer to another computer. See if the problem follows. I have seen the issue a few times with issues in normal.dot but also in other office applications.
Problem I'm fighting with on my 1720 is its printing extra pages between pages. basically print a 5 page document and get an 8/9 page final with the extra blank pages. Think its a user error but could be machine related. going to try it on another PC and see what happens.

I would suggest resetting the printer options to Default first. If that doesn't do it then reinstalll the complete printer software and be sure to deleted all the old software. To delete files completely download <AppCleaner> it's free and is fantastic. Your last resort is to then call Epson Tech Support.
