The clean the connectors on the cartridges and game deck before plugging it in and turning on the deck.
If this doesn't work, the cable is broken and will need to be replaced.
Hope this helps!

I have a Samsung flat screen tv and cannot set up a n64

Upon looking up your tv I realize it has no composite (yellow, red, white) input. Without that you can not hook up your N64. There are other options though. You could buy an RF adapter for the N64 (Gamecube, Super Nintendo, and N64 cables are the same) but by doing so you will lower the picture quality a bit. Or you can buy a component to composite converter (like this but if you shop around you could probably find a better one for cheaper http://www.amazon.com/Component-Composite-w-Down-Scaling/dp/B003FJKHBU ) Lastly if you have a DVD player or VCR that has component cables you could hook that up to your tv and then hook the N64 into it. Good luck!

"no signal" with N64 and sanyo tv. I have a sanyo

Well I think that you need a blue plug for it to work instead of
the tradditional N64 av cables.

When we hook up our N64 to our LG 42" LCD tv, it says no signal. Is there something we can do to get it to work on this TV?

I think that you need a blue plug for it to work on a digital tv instead of the usuall av cables for N64.

My Tv doesn't display the N64 game. No sounds come out also.

What you need to do is, first check the tv av input is working, use a dvd player or any other device with the red, white and yellow plugs.
If it works, the problem may be the nintendo AV cable, they are cheap and worth the few bucks to re live all those nostalgic game moments. If replaceing the AV cable doesnt work, check all the solder joints around the AV socket on the N64 main board. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Which cables do I need to connect my Nintendo64 to my TV? And where do I put them? The tv is an emerson model: ewl20s5 c

the only cord you need to plug into you tv just to play is the input plug (the one that splits into 3 plugs; one yellow, one white, one red).

you also obviously need to plug the nintendo 64 into the wall for power.

this goes for most, if not all video game systems, as long as your not trying to go on the internet

Can't not get our Nintendo 64 to work on our new Bravia TV

The Nintendo 64 sends out a signal that can only be properly decoded by old CRT TV's

Those Bravia TV's are the God's TV's even if they did work on it I wouldn't recommend it because it would most definitely eventually ruin the life span of your TV.

But to answer your Question the Cables should be plugged into AV1 which is the Red White and Yellow Connections

N64 turns on but nothing shows up on the TV

I have the same problem and from what I've read elsewhere on the net, it seems to be easily amendable by one of two solutions.

- You can re-tune a channel on your TV (not one of the main ones) and it will find the frequency for your N64 to run on

- If you had a gamecube the yellow, red and white output cables that came with that are (apparently) compatible with both the N64 and SNES and that way you wont have to tune your TV.

Unfortunately for me, I did not have a GC and my TV will not re-tune due to the button on the controller not working! Good luck.

Nintendo 64 wont work on my tv

If you are using the original AV plug for the N64, it will probably not work on a new TV.  You must find a new AV plug in a store, or on eBay, Amazon, etc.  This plug must have the red, white, and yellow ends to it.  those are the color coded ends that go into the TV.
