Loosen the brass fitting where it connects to the soleniod valve. If water comes out your saddle valve is ok. Carefully retighten this fitting. With the humidifier turned on loosen the first fitting down stream from the valve see if water comes out. if it does turn the humidifier off and see if it stops, it should. That will tell you the the valve is ok then, just clean the filter and the oriface. if it does not turn on and off check the wiring. if ok replace the valve.
Good luck

Hi we have a honeywell humidifier connected to our furnace we now here a buzzing sound what can this be from?

Hello. the buzzing sound you are hearing is coming from the solenoid valve on your humidifier. This could be due to low water flow going into the solenoid or the valve itself is going bad. I would check the saddle valve first and make sure you are getting a good stream of water to the solenoid valve, sometimes sediment gets built up in the saddle valve preventing water to flow. If the water flow looks good then replace solenoid valve.

I have a whole house Honeywell E365 humidifier which is constantly flowing water to the pad, even when the heat is not on. What could be the cause ?

Hello, the most common reason this happens is because the solenoid valve is bad and remains open allowing water to flow continously regardless if the furnace is on or off. I assume you have either a sail switch or current sensing relay energizing the humidifier when the heat is on, if not thats another reason it would run continously.

I have water flowing thru the selinoid, the supply hose is clear, the final fitting into the drip spout is clear, but there is almost no water coming out of it and into the 6 hole tray that drips into the...

I have the exact same problem. I can hear the solenoid "click" but when I try and "blow" threw it I cannot. I removed the little screen filter inside where the copper pipe connects, still no luck. Not sure what the flat blade screw is for with the locking nut, other than to adjust the position of the solenoid. I checked for flow of water outside of the valve. Also my contractor hooked this up to the Hot water side of the water heater. Does anyone know if this is correct? I would think you get more corrosion on this side.

GET NO FLOW. CAN FEEL THE SOLENOID GETTING POWER AND CLICK

I would suggest that you locate supply valve to humidifier and loosen compression nut on outlet side to see if you have water at that point. If you do shut valve off and disconnect supply line on incoming water line and make sure it is clean. Check for plugged screens or lime build up. Clean as needed. If you aren't getting any flow thru shut off valve then turn off water supply to the valve and replace it. I hope this helps you. Thanks

I have a HE220, HE 260 humidifier..by pass, flow thru. There is no water flow between the hot water tank and the humidifer. The water valve is on. Is there an inexpensive part I can replace myself first before calling a plumbing contractor?

Water flow from humidifier never stops. Even when furnace is off.

No, it will not stop flowwing if it is the water supply. A solenoid valve opens the flow everytime there is a call for humidity, but it stops at the humidifier when there is no call, so it will leak from that point until it is fixed or tightened.

My HE260A is discharging too much water

these are flow thru models and a lot of water passes thru them. The instructions say to not limit the water by closing valve at all!
