SOURCE: I used the self cleaning
Hello Friends Creek.
Welcome to Fixya
You said, you used the self cleaning selection on my Admiral Designer Series gas range. The oven went through the complete cycle of 3 hours. You then unlocked the door and was able to open the oven door no problem. Later on you went to use the oven, pushed the bake button and the lock light would flash. And you could not get past that to get the oven to come on.
You did the right thing to turn off the electricity and then turned it back on.
Did you wait 5 minutes before turning the power back on?Or just flick it off and on?
You said, the lock light still blinked.
But did it lockup again?
Please send me the model and year of your range.

I have the same range. It does not have a pilot. It uses an electronic ignitor which generates an electrical spark that lights the burner. The ignitor is located at the back of the burner and should make a popping noise and the spark will be visible to the eye. If none of your burners are working have a professional take a look. This is a potentially explosive device and the gas line should not be tampered with unless you are experienced.

hello. I can help.
If neither the oven nor the broiler heats, but the range burners still work, the clock may be set for a timed or self-cleaning cycle. Check to be sure the clock buttons and knobs are set properly. If your clock has a knob that says "push for man(ual)," push the knob in and try heating the oven and broiler again. If they still don't work properly, you probably have a defect in the thermostat, selector switch, or common wiring.
Note… If the oven doesn't have a separate bake/broil/etc. selector switch, the problem is often with the thermostat. It's not easy to check the selector switch or thermostat for proper operation. If you suspect a problem with either of these, call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Either a weak ignitor or stuck valve. I tap on the valve with the plastic end of a screwdriver while it is glowing and if it lights the ignitor is weak. If not the valve is stuck and both should be replaced.

The ignitor is not working right and is going bad....
have the repair man replace the ignitor, or DIY....
