Question about Whirlpool GEW9250 Electric Dryer
The model number is GEW9250PW1. Sometime I have to go through several cycles of depressing and holding the control and start buttons before it displays lights and starts. I depress/hold the end of cycles for 3-10 seconds, the door is closed and secured. It just gets in a mood and may take 3-5 minutes of pressing the control/start buttons before it displays lights and starts.
Thanks for your help.

Anra, this is a classic symptom of a failed even heat board. I've seen a lot of these failures out there. Easy to change out. Check out this link. Catriver..post back http://www.repairclinic.com/0080.asp

there is a sensor in the exhaust line in the dryer, near the motor. this tells the heating element to shut off when it gets to a certain temp, either during reg cycle or if the exhaust gets clogged, it is meant as a safety measure, but it sounds like yours is bad so the heating element never shuts off. it is not an expensive part and easy to replace
