Ring around clear number section pulls off then there are three small flat head screws undo those aand the outer face with the dial comes off. if you are just trying to clean out the clear dial from bugs or small debris simply lift with small screwdriver and blow into it.

Hi, Have you jumpered Rc and Rh??? I bet you just have the red wire under the Rc terminal only...heat goes on when power goes from Rh to W... the white wire should be on W and energized (24v) when the t-stat is calling for heat...

Here is a list of each common terminal and what their commonly used for. Alsolisted is what colors are commonly used. NEVER ASSUME these are what youhave. Verify all your wires by following each to each piece of equipment. Thiswill help you to be able to match your equipment with the terminal.

How to take a honeywell radiator off the wall

Turn off the circuit breaker to the AC and heating unit. The circuit breaker is inside the home electrical box. The door of your electrical box has a guide indicating which circuit breaker controls the cooling and heating system.Pull the cover off the Honeywell manual thermostat. If necessary, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the cover away from the base of the thermostat. Locate the two small screws securing the sub-base to the base of the thermostat. The sub-base is the portion of the thermostat that has the indicator dial or indicator lever. Remove the screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver, and pull the sub-base away from the thermostat.Remove the screws securing the base of the thermostat to the wall with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the thermostat base away from the wall so you can access the wires.Loosen the terminal screws securing the wires to the back of the thermostat with the flat-head screwdriver. Wrap the wires around a pencil or a large screw. This will prevent the wires from accidentally falling inside the wall cavity.

We removed an old honeywell thermostat (dial) and are trying to install a honeywell RTH1100B. When we removed the wires on the old thermostat, they were connected to B, G, Y, and R. The new thermostat says...

Not sure what B was on the old one.. B on the new one would be for heat pump. You will need a wire to W if you have heating system. R is for the 24 v coming to the stat. G is used to control the blower. Y is to control the air conditioner.

didn't wire up correctly or if purchased a digital one didn't set up correctly, look at the instructions and should tell you how to set t-tstat up or if you have to remove or move jumper.

How do i uninstall my old honeywell mercury thermostat

There are three parts to a T87F thermostat. Outer ring, thermostat body, and base mount. Remove the snap on ring that goes around the dial. Remove three screws from the thermostat that mount it to its base. Remove the thermostat. Disconnect and record what screws each wire attaches to. Remove the screws holding the base to the wall.

My Honeywell T87F Thermostat doesn't shut the A/C off when the temp in the room gets down to the Thermostat setting. I have it set on COOL and AUTO. I have to shut the A/C off; then later turn it back on...

Remove the thermostat and disconnect the r and y connection. If the A/C continues to run ya got a short in the wiring somewhere. If it shuts down then your tstat is hooped.
