You need a special software that goes with your razR, in some cases, if you paid extra for your phone it comes with the software but most likely, you will have to buy it or you can ahem, download it...

My phone needs to be programed

Not sure what carrier you are on - but you will need to get the MSL - Master Subsidy Lock) code from your provider. You will need to provide them with the ESN or MSID which is under the battery.

Does the motorolarazr v3 take a smart chip, so i can add more files to the phone

The simple answer to your question is: NO. Here are the specs on the Motorola V3: http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_razr_v3-853.php

Motorola did not begin manufacturing phones allowing use of memory cards until the V3i series.

Hope this helps.

How do you put pics. from your phone to computer? MotorolaRazr V3

Yes. You can download them from here.

http://tinyurl.com/23yzaf

In order to do the pics, I believe you need to download the Motorola phone tools.

However, go in to the "PC and charging drivers" first and download the 32 bit for windows and see if it shows up in "my computer" first, as Motorola phone tools is not free, but those drivers are.

If your phone is not recognized after that you may need to disable your firewall to unblock the ports used by the phone.

Motorola l6 connect to pc usng usb (no mobile phone tools cd)

It is possible that you have a bad data chord. Recently I have come across several data chords that will not acknowledge the v3 cell phone I was trying to use with my Motorola Tools program. I tried a different data cable and it worked without any problems. If you don't have a 2nd data cable you might ask friends and family if they have one you can borrow so you can verify if it is the data cable or not. If you find that it is the data cable you could then purchase another one.
