if the fuse you took out at first was fried black as cool, how do you know it was .6a
now the fl231 as I told you before is close to the flyback transformer
Go to google search -type in flyback transformer --enter
scroll down to get video results for flyback
now you will see what a flyback looks like
you should not try to fix tv if you have no idea of tv repair.it is very cmplicated and fatal .there is serious high voltage in tv sets
there are 3 small red rectangular shape objects to the right of the flyback transformer these are fuses the fl231 most time goes bad .fl231 is the location number under the green circuit board. the location number can also be wriitten on top(brown side of the cicuit board) you may have to put back the .6a you took out was it ok?
TRITRONIC ELECTRONICS sell parts . cathray 416 241 1106 sells also
yes, thats the replacement fuse for your set. However unless you have replaced the convergence power supply also chances are the fuse will blow again, as the power supply shorting is what causes the convergence to get out of alignment and it will then blow FL231 thereby removing the convergence option from the menu.
If its the regular glass fuse, radio shack should have a replacement for that just bring the old fuse with you so you can get the correct amp fuse. If it blows again, let me know and I will try to assist you as usually fuses blow for a raeson. Please respond to this same post when replying.
Well you could always use a bigger fuse but I would not advise to do it, it could and most likely will blow tv not fuse. Fuses ussually blow from a short or power surge. If it is new or under warranty I would return it for replacement or repair.
