Liquid Damage + Removing Motherboard Instructions

My phone has been exposed to moisture and is working erratically. I know this voids the warranty. I would like to open up the case and dry the motherboard etc. but have been unable to find instructions on how to do this. Maha suggested doing this...can you help?

Re: Liquid Damage + Removing Motherboard Instructions

I dropped my phone in the sink while washing up, I dried it out but the phone continously kept switching self off, I though it was the phone. I borrowed a collegues battery and the phone worked it din't switch off once. So i bought a new battery and it works perfectly since.

I washed it

Liquid or physical damage is not covered by the warranty. Let it dry for a bit without turning it on or charging it. Putting it in a bag of rice might help draw out water. No guarantees it will work again but it's worth a shot.

Replace battery in a sennheiser officerunner headset

Here are the instructions for removing the battery and replacing it from your friends at!

1) Remove the headband or earloop.

2) Pry the battery door away from the shiny, black plastic strip on the tip of the headset using your fingernail.

3) Carefully flip back the speaker cover to expose the battery.

4) Gently remove the battery connector from the headset by pinching all three wires (red, black, and white) between
two fingers and pulling outward away from the headset.

5) Connect the new battery to the headset and gently close the battery door.

Need to hard reset motorola mini bluetooth h9

try removing the pairing to your phone and pair again. If this does not work try pairing your headset to another phone and if it does it on that phone then something is wrong with the earpiece return for repairs if under warranty or if you are willing to pay for the repairs if out of warranty or replace ear piece all together as they are reasonably priced these days. If the ear piece works fine the other phone something has gone wrong with the bluetooth side of your phone return for repairs or replace depending on what you can afford to do. I hope this helps.

Phone won't connect to Jabra

I'm going to say what you already know its your jabra. it has gone to jabra heaven. Iv gone threw 3 of these in 2 years it doesnt take much to damage them scents the electronics are so delicate and small I lost one due to dropping it one because it got to much moisture (I took it to the shower with me and laid it on the counter and the steam killed it when I was done it no longer worked ) and one my 10 year old son sat on in my car it was DOA by the time I got him to school. Im sorry that I could not help you revive it in some way but i hope that I was at least helpful.

Motorola motorokr doesn't work

The mic stopped working on my S9 after 2 weeks and removing the BT device and repairing did the trick...try removing the S9 bluetooth device from phone, then re-adding and pairing again. this worked for me (I have an LG Voyager that I use with the Motorola S9). .

Can not get headset to charge

When it wont charge, there could be a bad cell on the headset, it may have suffered too many drops, or has been in contact with a lot of moisture.

Try to put the headset in a warm area, perhaps if you have a satellite dish receiver, cable tv receiver, or radio receiver in your house, sit it on top for an hour or two, and let the radiation from those devices dry out any excessive moisture that could corrupt your connections. This will not damage your headset.

If that does not work, I am afraid you will have to head to a local neighborhood wireless shop, or your retailer and get a replacement, or send in your warranty card and get it replaced with your supplier.

I would register your equipment on the website of your headset, then call them in for a exchange.

Please rate me for my effort.

if they are broken from just use the warranty is void but if it just died out then u can cut one of the earbuds send it to skullcandy and they will send u a new pair i find my to work really well snowboarding when im by myself but when im with a group i find it hard to hear them but i also have a hearing problem so that might be that reason. and sometime if you get the skullcandy smoking buds they have a warranty for even if they break because of use they will give u a new pair for half price. if its a big headset cut the plug or just go to the skull candy website and go to support and check that out. link to the site. hopefully this helps you :D

here is the link to the user manual; Check pages 27 and 28, describes all the possible on/off configurations for the signal light. during a call, you can turn it off by pressing volume up and volume down at the same time. If there is no activity on your phone for 5 minutes, it should turn off. What phone are you pairing the headset with? This link gives some more simplified instructions; If you need the signal light permanently off, then it is not possible without modifying the headset - the easiest permanent way would be to paint over the signal light with a small brush and an appropriate dark coloured enamel paint. It may need 2 or 3 coats to completely block the light. This may possibly void the warranty. You could do the same thing with a piece of black pvc electrical tape cut to fit the light, if you want the option to change back later (probably also need redoing every couple of months). The warranty would not be affected with this method. Another possibility would be to open the unit up, and see where the signal light source LED is situated - don't remove it or disconnect it, but if the legs are long enough, you may be able to gently bend the LED out of the way of the little window to the outside. This would certainly void the warranty. Hope this helps, please ask again if you need more info :)

If you are handy - open the phone and clean the flex pad connectors with a cotton swab and a little bit of isopropyl alcohol.
